Took a brief look at some stats and I am sure I overlooked some local guys but so far these guys are doing well:

Andrej Stojacovich- he didn't have a bad first year at Stanford but just like everyone else he is thriving now that he got away from Jerod Haas. He is averaging 19 and 5 for Cal who is off to a 6-2 start.

BJ Davis-starting point guard for the Aztecs is averaging 14 a game and already led them to a few big national stage wins.

Myles Byrd-starting alongside Davis at SDSU, the junior from Stockton is averaging 13 a game and playing well.

Anthony Roy-playing at a smaller school but absolutely lighting it up so far scoring 27 a game which I believe leads the country.

Ozayiah Sellers-he is off to a good start at Stanford under new coach Kyle smith putting up 14 a game

Money Williams-the Oakland native is doing well at Montana putting in almost 15 a game

Tyler Harris-the Portland transfer is now at Washington and starting and getting 14 and 7 so far.

Mikey Lewis-off to a really solid start for the Gaels scoring 11 a game

Some guys off to surprising not so good of starts: Mahaney 5 ppg on 31 % from the floor. Ryan Beasley not playing a ton and scoring 4 a game at USF. Coleman Hawkins was one of the biggest names in the portal and made a killing going to Kansas State but so far just putting up 8 and 7.

I've been too a couple CAL games. Andrej has improved a ton. He's Madsen first offensive option and his entire package has exploded. Who wouldnt want to play for maddog? He's actually getting to the rim and not just a 3pt shooter. Had 26 and 6 last night in a 5pt loss to Mizzou. I would love to see him stay another year and this year still has a lot left in it but the development has NBA written all over it.
And how about Jaylen Wells from SSU and Folsom! Don't even think he was a 2 star recruit and he's a top 3 Rookie right now for Memphis.

Jojo Murphy continues to be a stud for Chico averaging +20ppg.

Good to see all the local talent playing well.

Jaylen proves that those stars don't mean anything when you get to the next level. The goal is to get to the next level regardless of the journey to get there.

Completely agree. A lot of it is bs and hype. Speaking of somebody who peaked early... Jamari Phillips not getting any run at Oregon.

It’s very easy to see that the kids who are moved around ten times in high school with helicopter parents almost always turn out badly. Even if they are talented they have no concept of accountability or how to function within a team.

UConn in general seemed more poised than they were last week. They still have a lot to work, not just Aidan, tho he has plenty of room for improvement.

Mahaney with 9 tonight and a spirited moment with his borderline lunatic coach. Gotta love the energy..sort of.
"Unstable" is sort of how I describe Hurley. Emotional to the nth degree. They will be back though. The Maui Invit doesn't define them. And like I said its how Aidan responds to being in the crapper is what I want to see. Last night he hit some big shots. Lets see if he can run with it.

What you mean by "don't make it"? I think any player that gets to the college level has made it, especially considering less than 10% of all high school players nationwide ever touch a college basketball floor as a player.
i thought the argument was him making to the nba even though he was a 2 star.
not making it to college. 2 stars make it to college

Albert Green, from Franklin High in Elk Grove, is averaging 10 ppg off the bench for upstart Louisiana Tech, including 18 points versus #16 Memphis.
