OK now I see a serious problem....
right from the top the first Joe Smith Game with SC
be cause it went two ots...this threw the whole schedule off...
the clock inside the cameras couldn't seem to take that into consideration...

It was just one OT, and Sierra Canyon out-disciplined a more athletic team. Blanche Ely actually stalled for three minutes in the first half, thus negating its depth advantage. And their coach called a timeout when his player was on a breakaway one-on-one that was at the least going to result in a foul.

The big delay in the second gym was due to a faulty rim that was semi-repaired but still helped Mitty win.

How exactly did a faulty rim help Mitty win? Miami Dade played an entire half shooting at the same rim. They also built a 14 pt halftime lead shooting at that rim. Mitty had it for the 2nd half - both tams had equal access. How many Miami shots went in during the 1st half due to the rim? Had Mitty lost, would anyone have accepted their excuse that the rim was at fault? Yeah, didn't think so.

When the buzzer-beating three that wins the game by win trickles in after the rim bends down, I think it's fair to say it helped Mitty win.

Of course, MCD got some bounces too, but that came at the most critical moment of the game. All baskets are not created equal, at some level.

Great shot by Ashley Hiraki, great comeback by Mitty, all credit to Mitty ... but if you saw the shot, you know it doesn't go in on a regular rim.
