Man, that Barry Classic looks good again.... Maybe I'll end up doing what I did last year... I live just a few minutes from DLS, so I went there for the 1st round of the VonToure, then drove up to Gridley the next day and caught the semi's there and stayed overnight nearby, then went to Jesuit on Saturday for that show. Yup, I love my HS hoops!

Kiddman32- Lets hook up at the Jesuit Tourney. I always spend a good day or 2 there watching these games. I'm not far from DLS either during the week so I could do that as well. I plan on being at a lot of there games because I have a strong feeling they are going to knock some folks around.

Strong possibility of that happening, LL... I always try to sit on the scorer's table side, center court, half a dozen or so rows up (I like the eyes right about rim-high for the best angle, and it's also easiest for me to see what the ref is calling since he turns to the scorers). Doesn't really work that way at Gridley's tourney because the teams have the spot behind the table, so I am usually just about straight across from the table there.

As we get closer, I'll have an even better idea of what I plan to do, so I'll get back to you then.

btw, I agree that DLS is going to be nails this year. It'll be interesting to see what kinds of changes come about with the new coach. I understand he played at DLS, but that was during the time I lived in Oregon... Will they play a little looser? (I've always thought the Spartans tightened up as the season wore on, but that's just me...) Will they still run that offense all full of backcuts and backdoor passes? They seemed to change it some last year, but seemed to go back it more and more as the year went on.

Somewhat down year lineup for Gridley compared to years past. Depending on bracket, Sac High-St. Francis championship game would be the optimal outcome for spectators.

I think Capitol Christian has a chance to end up in the championship depending on how the brackets are set up. They could be real good this year.

I love the Modesto Christian tourney. Always a great chance to see some norcal and socal powers. Besides the host team (MC) you have to like Long Beach Poly. El Camino Real usually has very strong teams as well.
