Folsom with a nice win.

Very Good win. Bulldogs improve to 15-1. Folsom won’t see anybody as good as capital in SFL. Capital has a nice young team. Folsom next big test will be in a week against Jesuit. From what I’ve seen and assuming Jesuit gets Andrej back I would give edge to marauders. Especially now that Haught is playing.

I went to Jesuit vs Sheldon night before and Virgil played a great game . Overall program from JV to Varsity at Sheldon seems down this year. They’ve played a tough schedule so wins and losses are deceiving. Not sure if just off Year. More options now? Kids bouncing around?

I’m interested in knowing exactly what transpired between him and the coaching staff. Watched online and couldn’t quite tell what led up to him leaving with 6 minutes left and heading to the bleachers. Whatever it was, I’m sure they’ll work out before Wednesday. They all need each other

Folsom and Sheldon are the two public school programs that have been consistently competitive in Sacramento and at the top of the rankings year after year for about 2 decades now with very few down years between the two of them and many league titles and deep playoff runs/section titles. Not sure if there are any programs, much less public school programs, with the same consistent records of success in Sacramento (and maybe even any other public schools in Nor Cal) this century (meaning since 2000).

Campo has had a pretty solid run.

campo been for last 20 years?
At least 20 years, if not 50. They’ve had a great program as long as I can remember.
Just pulled up the oldest 3 years that MaxPreps goes back to:

21-7 in 06-07
27-4 in 05-06
26-6 in 04-05.

I don’t think anybody is saying the party is over at Sheldon. Just a down year i presume? Certainly some frustration I imagine but I didn’t see it at the Jesuit game. Quite frankly, the party is going strong at Folsom with a tremendous Frosh, JV, and varsity team. If anything, Folsom will continue to see dominance until they build another school. It’s almost hard to be bad at a HS this size. Add in a great coach and feeder program and expect a lot more success.

As stated, Campo is another public school that has had a great run and will continue to have one. Coaching, good players, AaU feeder, etc.

Agreed. I played against them in early 90’s and they were good. Not like today however.

Grant, a REAL inner city school six section finals in last 10 years

Pacers often get left out of the conversation, but yeah they have had a ton of success in basketball. They’ve had great teams and players over the years.

They have two Freshman (6’5 and 6’8) that have the potential to be Division 1 athletes.

The 6’8 freshman should probably go down to JV and get playing time. The 6’5 freshman forward is a starter and is having a great season.

Rocklin from 2000-2010 matches up there with any public school, and then has had a couple of good years from 2018-2020 with the return of their coach who did not coach from 2011-2017

PSA... um... Porn Stars of America? Plastic Surgery Association?

Clue me in...
I was thinking Public Service Announcement or Professional Sports Authenticator, but actually it's Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut. I'd never heard of them before, but their website says they are multi-time national champs. https://twitter.com/PSAHOOPS

I'm wondering if they are a school that takes fifth year players like Golden State Prep?
