Foolsom loses again! 31-21

Foolsom loses again. to another SFL team....Foolsom needs the Reno Express or they cnt win...ha ha ha.

where is the idiot of foolsom??? under his rock for the year?
Folsom’s Defense is just Awful…. They are so Poorly Coached…. You can tell they have players out there but They cannot stop the run or the pass….

Folsom looks like a 7 on 7 Team, they have no linemen…. Their O-Line was getting blowen off the Ball all night…. I thought Folsom’s QB Made some nice plays avoiding the rush…..

Folsom is not a well coached Team at all…. Their Coaches that won the Titles are gone and the new guy looks like he is over his head….

I said it last year when “The Most Talented Team In Nor Cal” According to Joe Davidson, Couldn’t even make it past the second round of the playoffs….

The Folsom Reign is Over….. Look for their players to start transferring out, Their new coach is nothing special like Taylor and Richardson were…..

Pretty obvious that while Folsom had a great run the last 10+ years, they were NEVER the #1 public hs football team in the state. Other than playing DLS, their schedule is so weak compared to some of the So Cal powerhouses like Centennial Corona. The #1 tag was a product of one person's mind; Pasty Face Quick or whatever his current handle is.

Like I said after rocklin game the gap was so big between those teams. Rocklin plays again and I bet they beat them 35-7 minimum. Great teams have lines and Folsom has none.
i would not be surprised if these 4 star kids bounce after this season. Great example of camps and combines don’t mean crap when you have to buckle up the chin strap and play the game.

I am slow to come to this defending Folsom. I understand the annoyance of a certain poster. But, it seems like people are capping on kids because of him? Injuries later in a season can crippling to a team. The Manteca team Oakdale played was not the same team that knocked of teams earlier in the year. I mentioned the Nicholson kid was one of the most impressive player this year. I was very disappointed he was out with injury. You lose the leading scorer in the state? Hoping for a quick recovery and we see him in the playoffs!
Folsom lost their starting QB ? Just sayin! Down in the southern part of SJS we VOL member stand up for each other. Manteca is a rival. But also a family member!

so what? Rocklin lost their starting QB and doesn’t have a backup that is 10 star recruit with offers from every program in America that goes to every camp in America ? Not sure what ur getting at ? Instead of excuses they just go out get physical and win

Missing my point! To me it's coming off as people are capping on kids the players. Champ and I become friends over kind of the same thing. He had a bad experience at an Oakdale game. And he had an issue all of Oakdale. He realized you can't blame a whole group for one jerk. And his beautiful wife and him made a tailgate for a whole bus load of Oakdale fans.
I stopped coming on this forum because of all the Folsom DLS argument. I like to talk actual HS football. Personally if given the choice between a Folsom v DLS and a Hilmar v Escalon? I am going to Escalon great small town football! No pipeline of D1 athletes. Coaches alumni of the school. But just one man's view!

Maybe it sorta comes off as "capping on players", whatever that means... But the point made by most of the Folsom detractors is aimed at the coaching, which appears to be well short of what it used to be.

Thanks! So now we go back to all the Folsom BS!
I don’t think it’s a cap on the kids. I mean let’s be real here. When one posts headlines of why isn’t anyone mentioning De La Salle getting blasted on national TV, then carries it into we are the best public school in the state and will beat De La hands down and then De La stomps them a fifth time now, Rocklin follows, and now Granite Bay, I don’t think it is a bashing of kids to be quite frank. I think it became a picture perfect scenario for those that got tired of the BS the board was reading created by one.

Honestly regardless of the poster Folsom has created a lot of there own issues internally that I think annoys most of us. Rocklin throwing long on Folsom when they were up 30 was a big fu to that program that did that bs for years. Coaches don’t forget. You can win with class and lose with dignity.

Spot on. What people don't understand is nobody in the SFL likes Folsom and the program. Not because of their kids, its because of their staffs, past and present, and the way some behave. It's the program not the kids, that has left a sour taste. You can win and dominate with class.

People are crapping on the Folsom program in general for scheduling so weak during the past decades, yet having State Championship parades, and calling themselves State champions without any legit Top 100 wins

I completely understand, and unfortunately, a lot of negative sentiments have been aroused on this board due to one poster. But I don't think any right minded adults hold any kind of animosity towards high school kids no matter what their Jersey says across the front. Poor sportsmanship displayed by teams is the fault of the coaches, not the kids. Also blame the Administration to some degree.

Example:

Folsom Up 55-7 with 3:30 left in the game and Instead of The 2nd String QB Handing off to The Second String RB, Jake Browning Throws a 60 yard TD pass just to set a meaningless Record and rub their opponents face in the blowout loss….

Folsom up 77-46 with 1 min Left in the game on The Opponents 1 yard line…. Instead of Taking a Knee and Running out the Clock or Kicking a FG, Folsom Punches The Ball in The End Zone…. I guess putting up 77 points on those kids was not good enough Folsom needed to make it 84 there rub it in their opponents faces And Folsom can Thump Their Chest and say “We scored 84 Points In a Game”…..

They Have a Classless and Cowardly Culture Set By their Coaches and Admin….

This Couldn’t Be More True…. The SJS Competes for The D1 SBG which is Basically the Best San Diego Open Team or SS D2…..

2015- D1AA Champ Mission Viejo, SJS (Folsom) Knocked out in Regional by CCS Champ…
2016- D1AA Champ SDCC over ST Mary’s…. Also, D1A- San Clemente Defeats Del Oro…
2017- D1AA- Folsom Defeats SD Open Champ by 7 points….
2018- D1AA Folsom Beats SD Open Champ in OT…..
2019- SJS Champ OR loses In D1AA Regional….

Folsom is nothing More Then a San Diego Open Level Team or a SS D2 Team…. They are the most overrated Team in the state year in and year out and they protect that ranking by scheduling weak teams or No Lose Games against DLS…..

They never said anything! I pointed out I enjoy real HS football! Small town Friday night lights football. But thank you for your concern! Troll on buddy! I am 66 year old grumpy man. Your opinion only means something to me! You can wake up everyday and choose to be positive. Or you can choose to be a condescending jerk? I prefer the earlier!

Don’t let that SoCal homer poison your mind. And Folsom’s achievements or lackthereof are theirs alone — they are not representative of everyone else in the SJS.

Grant Union and Granite Bay both beat PAC5 champs. Rocklin came close to doing the same w/o their starting QB.

There were numerous SJS teams from the past that were also capable of doing the same but the lack of State games didn’t present them the opportunity.

No disrespect intended toward you, but the San Diego comment is a terrible one.

No disrespect taken at all…. Grant’s win was the most important Nor Cal win ever in my opinion because it said “Nor Cal Is Not Just DLS”…..

But When The SJS Commissioner Pete Sacco Took The Folsom Rule to the CIF and Handed DLS the Open every year, They made a Statement that The SJS does not want to Play DLS for a SBG Birth….

But oddly, the SJS had no problem playing any other team then DLS so the best SJS team can get a chance at a Birth in a Lower Level Bowl Game by “The Committee” Selecting The Open Team (DLS) instead of Having a Playoff….

No Matter What the Great Grant and GB Teams of the past did, This is the mentally of the SJS since “The Folsom Rule” …. So Yes, The SJS is Happy playing for D1AA, It’s what they Lobbied for and it is who they now are….

Might be the mentality of those that run the SJS, but definitely not the mentality of the programs.

Our program would play anyone and would love to play for the Open if we could ever qualify, even if we had to play a school that would boat race us.

I hate to poke the bear on the different rule sets that the South and North appear to operate under but maybe those up here who made that decision thought it was the only way to create competitive equity given all the moving around that happens down there. It happens here too but seems like it is much more the case down there, but I could be wrong.

It seems so pervasive now it's just part of the football culture in the south part of our state, I don't like it but if everyone agrees its ok or they can't stop it so they accept it, I get it.

Anyway, I'd like us to do away with that rule as well and just take our licks, but I like all the bowl games. Some of the best experiences our players, coaches and fans have had was the playoff runs to state....even if we weren't playing Mater Dei. We didn't care and we knew we weren't the best team in the state, but we knew we were pretty good. It's a big state!

I dont think the SJS was happy with it.Folsom was happy with it.Folsom just happened to be the best team in the section during that run.The SJS didnt ask for the "Folsom Rule".That was Folsoms doing as I understand it.But the section shouldnt have allowed it.

The only difference between the North and South is population. More people more athletes it’s not that complex. Athletes will naturally gravitate to programs they feel give them the best chance at winning, playing, and moving on to next level. There are not two sets of rules, that myth is easily debunked with minimal research.
