Fr. Kelly Tribute

To the person who asked... Witt is dressed for warmups for St Francis... Don't know yet if he will play or how much.

Great game going here... High-level action! Dunk by Hewitt ties it at 26 with 42 secs left in the half

MV gets the turnover, then loses it back... Fadal gets a T, 25 secs to go

Good reporting Kiddman. My son sat through the exciting game after his team was done playing against NM. Several technicals were issued. The referees I heard were a little overzealous with calls. Charlie Tooley I understand also got a tech. I hope to get there for the Jesuit game.

Finally met kiddman32! What a hoop fan.

28-26 Folsom

Let me say this. What a half! St Francis is better than I thought. They have the athletes in guards Johnson and Thomas to guard ford 1 on 1.

Jared wall getting very emotional with some offensive fouls. St Francis is frustrating him.

Some players who have had good halves.

St Francis
Darius Thomas
Curtiss Witt
Peter Hewitt (big kid can jump)

Folsom
Tre finch
Martin Johnson - soph
Ford- (although he's been contained)

I would not man st Francis. I'm really curious if Folsom changes things on defense.

Folsom looks out of synch but is up 33-31 early in 3rd. Ford really held in check thus far.

#10 Hewitt ejected. Looks like he elbowed wall. Wall can get under your skin. Def chippy out here. This could be a pivot point. Folsom goes up 43-38 and gets ball.

I said SF was a powerhouse in a different forum. Personally I would man them up close. Lots of great shooters. I watched them play a few times and the league is theirs to lose.

Lancers' Peter Hewitt tossed for an apparent flagrant foul against Wall. The refs were not very clear...

That is what Serra did last night and almost pulled off the upset. SF is very good

46-40 Folsom end of 3. This is pretty much exactly the way I saw this game. St Francis is good enough to come back.

Folsom throwing some zone and guess what... It's working. Def has lancers out of sorts. Witt needs to knock some 3's.
Wall fouls out. Not a good outing for him.

Ford doing a great job this half getting his guys looks. Very unselfish.

Correction wall must only have 4 fouls. He's back. Honestly I would have sat him. He's a liability right now.

All I know is Witt had to be high scorer. Take a stab and say 20. He was very impressive. Def a kid who can play d2 in college. Guessing that ford and finch led folsom but it was pretty balanced.

Can either of these teams hang with de la, Moreau Catholic?

I have a feeling all of these teams will be in the norcal open

Jesuit all over EC early. 9-2. Big mismatch with banks trying to guard Duffy on perimeter. EC defense is horrible. Don't close out on shooters.

St Francis and Folsom are better than Moreau in my book. Better coached, play harder,etc.. Nobody can hang with de la salle right now.

Who is jake virga from Jesuit? 6"0 soph guard who is killing EC. I think he has 14 points in 1st period. This kid has hops like Rex Chapman too. Anybody know scoop?

22-12 Jesuit end of 1.

I concur. I am on the fence on this but Folsom will beat DLS. They have more depth and are more athletic.

I would add Modesto Christian in the mix. They are right up there in terms of talent. Not sure Folsom matches up well with DLS. DLS is long and deceptively athletic.

Didn't get it, though it looked like J went out of bounds... Maybe. Not called, and I was on the other side of the court
