Gabby Green named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week

Gabby Green (St. Mary's-Berkeley) has been named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week after helping Cal pick up road wins against Arizona and Arizona State.

It is the third honor for a Cal player with Mikayla Cowling (St. Mary's-Berkeley) winning the award twice this year.

As she used to do at SMB...watching SMB beat Salesian
in that NCS D4 final...She was bringing the ball down against
those super quick Salesian guards....that is what was impressive...

She can play PG I think she will take over that position
when Boyd leaves

You are right about Gabby being quite the player, especially her size and agility playing point guard. But she will probably share the point guard duties with Asha Thomas next year. When Asha slowly works back into shape. What do you think?

I saw her potential do
It in college...

The thing she does it

Which relaxes the rest
Of her team...

As you know it is much
Easier to perform and be creative

I agree Gabby Green is a special player. Once she rounds into the player she is capable of becoming I see her causing many problems. She is still learning and getting better not worse. I look forward to watching our local players develop and lead Cal to a trophy or two.
