This weeks Game of the week is at the East Bay Valley League as Granada 5-1 meets Amador Valley 5-1.....Why those two.....Granada won a big one in the valley while Amador Valley Hosted Del Oro and stayed in the game but lost 49-27...Its also could be for the crown f the League which could be settled Friday night.
Granada 5-1 at Amador Valley 5-1.....The Pick.....Granada 27 Amador Valley 24.....This is one of those games were the score could be just the reverse....both are tough on defense and both know how to score. Ans it just possible that this game could turn into a shootout...

BIG GAMES
Liberty 7-0 at Antioch 6-1.....The Pick.....Liberty 49 Antioch 20...The Panthers have away of surprising you, so Liberty will have to be red hot from the start....The Lions tied Freedom 21-21 at the half last week, so there is no room for surprises.
Freedom 5-2 at Pittsburg 5-2.....The Pick.....Pittsburg 41 Freedom 27...As mentioned, Freedom gave Liberty a battle for the first half, so the Falcons will have to do the same plus, or the Pirates will run away with the game...This is a must win for Freedom
Santa Rosa 5-2 at Montgomery 5-2.....The Pick.....Santa Rosa 27 Montgomery 20....This could very well be for the Crown also in the Redwood League...
Cloverdale 5-1 at Kelseyville 5-1.....The Pick.....Kelseyville 33 Cloverdale 26...another battle for first place in the North Central League..
Bishop O'Dowd 3-2 at San Leandro 2-4.....The Pick.....Bishop O'Dowd 32 San Leandro 26...This will be for a piece of the first place in the West alameda Foothill League as Encinal, BD and SL are in a three way tie....both teams have faced tough games and are well battle tested..
Piedmont 4-2 at Encinal 5-1.....The Pick.....Encinal 27 Piedmont 26...The Jets have to win to keep a hold on first place...

They could lose that game, and as long as they beat Pitt on the 19th and win out they would still likely get the #2 or #3 seed in the Open and not have to face the Green Machine until the finals. I agree the BVAL has some hairy games coming up, and whoever wins that league will be battle tested.

THE BIG IF.....if Liberty should loose to Antioch and it could happen, we could wind up in a tie for the Crown, then its a case of who beat who...Antioch for some reason is very dangerous...I think since the paper mill left and the air cleared, it may have had something to do with the panthers rise,although the paper mill left years ago.

Vanden gets some of its players from South Vacaville. George A. Gammon Field is gonna be packed. This is gonna be a Big Rivalry! I am surprised this was not a Pick Em Game. What is your prediction for this game?

NCScalfootball…...I overlooked this game for some poor reason and you are right, as time goes on this will be a big rivalry, but I would include Wood also.
As Wood is between Vanden and Vacaville.
there are about 200 homes under construction in the Vanden School dist and another 100 between Vacaville and Elmira, so we are going to see some new blood as time goes on into both school dist.s.I think Vacaville is the stronger of the two right now so I'd say Vacaville 27 Vanden 20....Vanden doesn't get all that military like they use to, but they will be tough..

Constuction has started at the east end of Alamo, now, about 100 homes, grading is complete...Hard to gauge Vacaville-vanden, as they have been in two different leagues...
