Thompson is considered a top 15 pick at least, just a matter of what position he plays. Some like him at RB over LB in the NFL. Sample probably a 2nd or 3rd rounder at safety.

I believe Thompson and Sample will be the first set of Grant Pacer teammates to be drafted into the NFL since Donte Stallworth, Onterrio Smith and Paris Warren were all drafted in the early 2000's. They weren't in the same draft class, though.

Shaq has an outside shot of besting Stallworth's position of #13 in the 1st round.

Rarely do you see a player with the versatility Shaq has. Had a legitimate chance to play RB or LB in the NFL.

Defensively, I think he could be a LB or a Safety. Offensively, he could be a RB or a WR. The only position he's currently undersized for is LB, but he is rated #1 at that position by Todd McShay (I believe).

He has the size, speed, athleticism, physicality and skill to play each of those positions.

I would love to see him at safety. Maybe lean up 10-15 lbs and focus on that elite speed. RB is a death sentence in the NFL. Not many Frank Gore's who can play 10 + years. Just my opinion. Kid is gifted beyond belief.

The guy who seemed a bit overhyped to me in that class has been Armstead for Oregon. I heard rumblings of NFL and its hard to teach 6"8 290 which a lot of NFL scouts like but when I watch games he's just another D Lineman. Nothing special. Maybe that is too harsh but I expected more coming out of Pleasant Grove.

Have to agree on Armstead.Thought he would be much more of a force in college.Seems to have the physical tools, but I dint see the nastiness Id like .

Armstead should have been an OT.
Agreed. Always thought his best potential was on offense. Thought he played well against Florida State, but he should stay in school
