Had a chance to see him last year and I agree with what a lot of this article said.

My favorite thing: Jalen didn't transfer to Findlay Prep because they have a rule about how you can wear your basketball shorts.

Hopefully I get a chance to see a couple of his games next year!

Okay, now that I've actually read the article, I get it...

Funny thing is, over the years since I moved back to CA in 2012, I have noticed that a LOT of Fresno teams's uni's have John Stockton-length shorts. So I'm guessing Green isn't all that unusual in Fresno. I remember the first Modesto Christian tournament I went to (2012) had a couple Fresno-area teams, mostly with shorter-than-short shorts... And every year since. Could he have that wide an influence when he was still in 5th or 6th grade? I think it's at least partly a Fresno thing...

Anyway, that is a terrific article... I like the fact that his parents force him to take days/weeks off when they think he needs 'em. It would really suck to see a kid this talented suffer burnout before he even reaches his prime.

Not a Fresno thing, this generation been doing this for a few years now. first one I really saw prominently rocking the short shorts was Jaylen Brown on AAU circuit (2014 summer) and trend has spread like a wildfire to the point where every HS kid in the country needs a couple inches above the knees to show... SMH
