He was a head coach at San Mateo HS back in the day. He also was an assistant at Riordan (he was on the bench when the Crusaders won the old CAL title in 1960 during the inaugural CAL (later WCAL) tourney at USF) and at Menlo College with the legendary Bud Presley. RIP.

How about seconds? Micro-seconds? Even getting hired in the first place? Bud and Tom Martinez, former three-sport coach at College of San Mateo, would be poison for today's nervous administrators.
Most definately a great man, met him on several occasions over the years and he was always telling me a story.
