Sad to report that Pat McGlennon, a former Serra and Sacred Heart Prep basketball coach passed away this week. A 1968 Serra grad, he was a hard-nosed football and basketball player. As a coach, his basketball teams were drilled hard every day in the fine art of unrelenting, physical man-to-man defense. Offense, frankly, didn't interest him much. It was defense that focused his attention. He wasn't always easy to handle if you were an administrator or a parent. He didn't change, not unlike the legendary Bud Presley. Cancer was the cause of Pat's death. RIP.

Absolute LEGEND. Baseball, not softball into his late 60's, playing hoops and golf at a decent level and even a flag football game this past thanksgiving w his family Never backed down from any challenge
Epitome of a Serra Padre
