I see that the EBAL schools have posted a handful of games for late April through late May.

Is that really happening or is it just wishful thinking?

What about other leagues? Will fan attendance be permitted?

Any info about what's in the works would be appreciated.

If you're looking at MaxPreps for those schedules, there have been some games on there for awhile. Some have been taken down, such as the Gridley Tournament. 😟

I wouldn't call it wishful thinking, since it seemed for awhile like late-March games were going to happen.

I would say that in most cases games showing up there now just haven't been taken down yet. I'm sure the Newark Memorial Showcase next weekend is a no-go even though I have never heard anything about it, but games from that still show on MaxPreps.

My guess is those EBAL games *might* happen, since they start in late April on the MaxPreps schedule, but maybe pushed back a couple more weeks.

There will be no basketball in AAA in San Francisco. SFUSD listed basketball as an outdoor “practice only” for Spring starting April 12 ending May 28

That is so stupid and Don Collins should be ashamed of himself for not educating SFUSD about what other sections are doing for indoor sports. Why is it that every other section in the state is going be playing hoops besides AAA? Total bummer for. the city kids.

Don Collins is stuck. He is held hostage by a bizarre set of district trustees who have their own weird priorities and an intractable teachers' union. He is left holding the bag. It's not pretty. The guy is in an impossible situation as the AAA continues to wither on the vine as a Bay Area prep sports laughing stock.

that's way too bad because Don is a good guy and has done a lot for that league. I just assumed it was a AAA decision, not SFUSD, which by what they've done with the remaining of schools is just stupid.
