Now this could be just a rumor. But from what I have heard, is that Kendall Munson is transferring to Sheldon. I can't confirm this, but if that is true Sheldon would be very scary for the next couple of years. It would be a devastating blow to Capital, who is already losing a ton. Is anyone else hearing this?

If he does go, I think that makes sheldon the clear cut team to beat in Nor-Cal. With what they have returning. On paper that's really tuff to compete with. Easily the best team in Sac.
None taken. Like I said it could just be a rumor from which I heard. But it comes from a pretty reliable source. I guess we will find out in summer league. The thing that makes me think it's possible is that, he already played all summer last year at Monterey trail. Which is only half-mile down the road. Now this could be bologna, but I doubt it.
I agree. But they have to get through the south again. As does Sheldon the north. Which is a very hard thing to do. Look at Salesian and mater dei.
Sheldon was right there with them for 3+ quarters. Sierra canyon was very good but I have seen many many teams come out of the south who were a lot better. If Munson came he would make a huge difference. Sheldon is very likely getting a 6-10 kid from pg I am sure that is who sachoop coach is referring to.
Agreed. Sheldon was right there. The annual big difference between North and South is the North usually does not have a 6'9 guy that can equal the one, sometimes two, sometimes 3 6'9 and up guys some of these South teams have. But we have seen in the past that even when the North has a legit big man (Brown, Powe, Gordon, Rabb), they get doubled and almost neutralized/forced to have someone else beat you. Rabb's title year the one in recent memory where the North actually won for once. Maybe Munson will be the difference, who knows.
What are the odds that all 3 of Stanley, Martin and Pippen are back with Sierra Canyon next year?
If Munson was at Monterey Trail last summer why not Sheldon? Has to be a reason he chose Monterey over Sheldon right? We all know they tried to get him them and weren't chosen,I don't think anything has changed from last summer to now. Again, just my two cents.

I have not seen him play in over a year so not really sure. From what I am told he has a much higher ceiling and is much more athletic .

Well to my understanding, a few kids were transferring into Monterey trail. Burbank kid and another from (can't recall). Apparently those kids went back to there respective schools leaving Munson as the lone transfer. I'm guessing he didn't like the idea and went back to capital. For a Sac Coach your not really in touch with the kids transferring in the area. (No disrespect)
My thinking is if he was willing to leave when Capital had some talent, why wouldn't he when they now have not very much.

No your the idiot that suggested with Washington it would have gotten out of hand. I don’t need to calm down . It was a tight game with 3 minutes left and Washington fouling out. SIERRA SCORED ON EVERY POSSESSION AFTER AND SHELDON missed some shots so the score is what it is would have been no different. What would have been different is if the ref from Oakland would have called the game correctly and not cheated for the soon to be Oakland Soldiers Kenyon jr and Scottie Jr. It was 552-46 SHELDON with a timeout SC . They come out and shoot a 3 and Pippen Swings his off arm dead left and currie hits him . Ref gives him and 1 and big momentum swing. Dale over the backboard shot should have been and 1 . With score 56 all Pippen pushes off Justin Nguyen and gets and 1. Offensive foul 10000 times of 10000 times . That’s why 6000 people bood on replay. He called hideous foul on Agebsar and Wreidt which took them out of the game. YOU JUST JOINED THIS WEEK why not say who you really are and not hide behind screen. Also they let Kenyon and Scottie stand up and intimidate refs the whole game. You think anyone from SHELDON would be aloud to punk the refs

Sorry, apparently your only allowed a certain amount of comments before the site tells you to subscribe. I understand the open enrollment, however; I didn't understand the "granted" to him part, as if you were implying that someone was being recruited.
Quick comment on the refs, as a Norcal supporter, was watching and pulling for Sheldon and although there were a few poor calls against them, I felt they received the benefit of the officiating for the most part throughout the game.. call it confirmation bias, funny how we can watch the same game and come away seeing different things...
Completely agree, see most people on this board have a son playing on a team or they are a coach with a HUGE ego. So there comments are so biased. I thought the game was decently officiated, now that changes based on which side of the arena you talk to. But I agree with you.
Agreed. However I did think the Pippen pushoff on the 4-point play and the incredible shot over the backboard were called wrong. It all evens out in the long run, and I can’t believe any refs are worried about who might be playing for certain AAU teams.

Thank you, that was the clarification I was searching for. Hey if Munson goes to Sheldon, so could Capital. LoL. But I don't think Sheldon recruits. A good product sells itself, they dominate their league, they play a great preseason and tournament schedule, and they win/ or a apart of every big game the last few years. What kid doesn't want that publicity? It's just the way of the world now. Can't beat them then join them. That's the mentality.
It will be a lot tougher next year for the huskies. They have a good core returning indeed. So does Modesto Christian. Watch out for Grant! They have no Sr's. The SJS will be incredibly strong the next few years. Quite a bit of young talent then in past years. Morgan (if he is there) will be an ok addition for them. He still has big ceiling, quite frankly indent think he will began to reach until his college years.
