Wow. Kid like that will be successful at whatever he chooses. The college game has gotten really nasty. So much pressure to win that you are treating people like they are throw away items.

Great story and its been happening for years. I had a friend along time back named Marc Jones who was a great kid and scholarshipped to Sac state. He earned the starting point guard spot his Soph year and started all 31 games. Started 22 of 25 games his junior year. Then before his Senior year they informed him they wouldn't be renewing his scholarship his senior year.

Frencheezy is right, it's not always the kids. Heard Stanford was going to pull the scholarship of a senior female basketball player a year ago before they were contacted by an attorney and then decided to let her stay on. This can and does happen at a lot of different schools and in different sports as I've seen it happen to a family friend in soccer too. Good topic.

Hey Frencheezy! Your in touch with the Newark High program. How does the future look in the next two years for the team?

I just found out we're moving to D1 next season. Should be interesting. Lost some size this past season but we should be good. Ashmore & staff always have the boys coached up, so I'm looking forward to good times.

Man.....kids are not left with many options when that happens that late in their college career.
