There was a time, so long ago that the vast bulk of this site's readership wasn't even a zygote, when Poly wasn't just a power in San Francisco; it was a NorCal Big Boy, one of the very best programs extant. The head coach was Milt Axt. His Parrots were physical, tough, disciplined and deep. There weren't a lot of surprises. They came at you with athletes and simple fundamentals. Their defense was rock-solid. They had enough big-play guys to cause major problems on offense and special teams. Their heyday was the 1950s. You can look it up.Man good question. But this was 1987, didn’t know we played another game
had to be 87, I was a freshman and graduate in 91. Ironically my dad went to polytechnic, I literally have a yearbook with a photo of old Kezar packed for a game. Times have changed, just glad Kezar still exists
