Isa Silva is headed to Prolific Prep

This was basically a done deal about 2-3 months ago, when I mentioned he was going to Prolific. He was the closest thing they could get to Jalen Green, Josh Jackson, Gary Trent Jr., etc....due to Covid being a huge issue. For Isa this is huge because well get to see him at the highest level, but it sucks because now we don't get to see if he could overthrow Sheldon next season.

Overall, another transfer......this one actually makes a lot of sense considering Jesuit isn't exactly a powerhouse without Isa.

there still are miles a part between him and jalen, gary and josh.

Really solid player. With doubts around HS sports and the flexibility with PP it’s a way for him to focus more on hoops. Bummer for Jesuit.

His game translates well to next level. Long way to go but he’s 6”3-6”4 and don’t be surprised if he ends up playing nba one day.

Like Ankle Says. Great Family. When I got my picture with him, his mom had no problem taking the picture. He seems pretty humble. Has literally the PERFECT Point Guard Body and Mindset for the current NBA. It will be interesting to see how his game transfers over to the next level. His time at Stanford will be huge and i'm sure hes hoping he gets to play at least one year with Ziare Williams.

Don’t see the CIF letting that happen . If they do it sets precedence and should allow Jaylen back to St Joes , Yaru back to Sheldon, Oziaha to Modesto Christian etc etc

Not sure what will happen this year is so weird. But the CIF kind of opened a can of worms by saying this year kids could even play on their high school team and club team in the same season. PP is not a high school team so it will make for a lot of grey areas.

i said it not for props i just it seemed odd to put that in their with his basketball attributes. and what exactly did you expect his mother to say to you?? it is not like he is lebron or khawi

The can of worms this would open would be immense.

CIF will never allow this to happen.

The way I interpret that article is that Silva would go to classes at Jesuit and graduate from there, but play for Prolific's team and not Jesuit's.

This is much like when Matt O'Reilly had his senior school year at Campo while playing for Prolific (and not Campo).

I have only seen him play in-person once, but he reminded me of a slightly more athletic Payton Pritchard. He has the potential to be in the NBA, but by no means a generational superstar.

Def has some size and length on Pritchard as well. But not many has tough as Payton.
Both are very crafty but ceiling will be a little higher for Silva. Certainly no guarantees but look at a kid like Caruso for the Lakers.... lots of sleepers around.

The only way he can play for Prolific and Jesuit is if he plays for Prolifics AAU team and not their main team. If that is how it goes down then he can play for Jesuit as well. At least that's the way I understand it, but I've been wrong before!

the coach said that in the article or maybe it was on this site.
