Ivan Rabb will announce his decision soon

Mtnjohn--- new coach, program changing, want to stay close to home, be the one to revitalize program..several reasons to go to Cal. If they land Rabb, Brown and Swanigan, I say they could be sweet 16 team. I think Martin and his staff are "players coaches". By landing Frayer already for 2016 they are making statement for getting best local talent

Back to conversation on UofA vs Cal. Academically Cal l is better institution but Arizona is no slouch. I know several people who went there and go there and do ok. Also know lot of idiots from Cal. It's on individual

HSFAN- Thank you! Finaly a voice of some reason. I've run into a fair share of hippy liberal do nothing from CAL and prominent silicon valley business leaders from UOA. Its the person!

I wish him well. He had a solid MCD game. Looked good. Can't tell much from these games so I put no stock into them. If Frayer keeps developing his range and gets stronger he's going to be a gem at CAL. I like his upside. He's probably closer to 6"7 than 6"6 and might have another inch or so in him. In this day and age a good recruiting class can land a team into the top 20 pretty fast. Its not like the old days. These days fresh play and contribute day 1. Different era.

The longer Rabb waits to decide the less chance there is that it's going to be Cal. Cal is a known quantity. There are no surprises. It's local, right around the corner. Rabb doesn't need more info on Cal.

Heard this angle as well. The longer the delay, the better AZ's chances get. I mean the early rumor, Haas, what better setting, then McDonald's announce it with Swanigan and Brown, but now, wow. I heard a rumor that AZ contacted Raab sometime after AZ had lost to Wisconsin and asked him to delay his announcement. Now to play devil's advocate, if you were Rabb, would it matter to you if Ashley, or Hollis Jefferson were on your team? What does he want 40 minutes a night and probably a 2nd round exit? or 30 minutes and a chance at the final four? With either Cal or AZ, he's a top 5 pick in 2016?

Has IR taken the SAT/ACT? Maybe he is waiting on qualifying score..

Usually, some 15 to18 of the top 20 nationally-rated prospects have already announced, committed by late March, or early-signed in November.

This year, well over half of the top 20 are still "undecided".

On April 21, ESPN is having a big signing show, late in the first signing week.

I have an idea the big ESPN show is a huge factor in the low number of early commits. Don't be surprised if Rabb is among thos who wait til that TV show to announce.

SAT/ACT not a factor he is qualifier. Not sure if waiting is sign for AZ. I think it's more about who leaves/stay at Arizona.

So, Hollis-Jefferson is gone, Ashley declared today and Stan Johnson is an obvious 1 and out. What does that leave the Cats. McConnell is done.

Rabb, Swanigan, Zimmerman and Maker are considering AZ, but Zimmerman and Maker are centers. I don't know, if Wallace returns, Rabb on Cal is a lot better than Rabb on AZ.

Don't you think Jackson-Cartwright will be running the PG for Zona? He played pretty valuable minutes as a true frosh. A lot different of a player than Mcconnel but very talented. He's small but gets to places on the floor easily.

I think Zona will miss Hollis Jefferson a lot. He was so versatile for them. But you plug Rabb in at the 4 and you have a very good 7 foot center returning and 3 guards who all got good minutes. (York, Jackson Cartwright, and Pitts). Another commit like a Maker who can play a couple positions as well and Zona will be good again.

Whoever it is I don't see how he won't be seeing 30 + minutes a night.

True Jackson-Cartwright should be the starter, will be some growing pains for Miller as he's losing a ton of experience. But it will definitely be a good investment to get Jackson-Cartwright the PT at PG to start the season.

See that's my thing with Rabb, it's like with Ashley/Caleb, he was going to see 30 minutes a night regardless behind those 2. It's great depth to have headed in to March. The offense would have revolved around Rabb, surround him with shooters.
