Jody Wynn is the new HC at Washington

She goes from Long Beach State to Washington in replacing Mike Neighbors, who left for Arkansas.

Washington has done well in the region signing McDonald, Garcia and Ruiz the past few years and bringing in Romeo through a transfer.

I don't get it...he had a good thing going at Washington! Arkansas will be a tougher recruit than Washington. Good for Jody. I thought she'd be the next to take over at USC (she's an alumn) but maybe down the road.

I believe Mike Neighbors graduated from Arkansas. Lots of personal connection in that move.

Not only an alum, but an arkansas native.. grew up a season ticket holder for football.. always said that was his dream job. And I think Jody wanted USC too, she's never coached outside of the LA area.. but I think she came in second to the FGCU coach, who then turned them down, and Jody had already taken the UW job. Botch job by USC, now they have had an opening for about a month and a half and candidates are getting swooped up left and right..

Word is USC doesn't want to pay, just like Arizona. And it's not just coach's salary, it's assistants' pay and recruiting budget.

Yea the last number I heard was 350,000.. while new coaches at Illinois and Florida are getting 500,000+
