Juan Toscano-Anderson making GSW squad

It’s a very cool story. Just shows you that hard work pays off! Juan is the definition of resilience and a role model for all players to look up too!

A bit off topic, seen an article on HS across the USA with the most players making the NBA.
MACK/Oakland comes in at tie for 24th..with 8 players.
Odis Allison (1)
Will Cherry (1)
Antonio Davis (13)
Joe Ellis (8)
Jim Hadnot (1)
Bill Russell (13)
Paul Silas (16)
Nate Williams (8)

With a student body of just over 300, McClymonds is one of the smallest high schools on this list. But their lack of students has not meant a lack of star power.

They are home to the greatest winner in team sports, Bill Russell. The 11-time NBA champion was a high school teammate of Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, and those two became the first black head coaches/managers in their respective sports.

Other notable graduates of McClymonds include former NBA All-Stars Paul Silas and Antonio Davis, as well as Stanley Burrell, aka MC Hammer.

one more a bit off topic is youtube clip of Oakland's Gary Payton and keeping a watchful eye on younger Oakland player, Jason Kidd while growing up in Oakland. A funny dialog as Kidd recounts story after he blocked Payton's shot in a game.

JTA's storybook ride as kid growing up in Oakland, star at Castro Valley HS, the long journey to NBA as well as capturing a ring with GSW may be ending as he may become FA soon. The process of having players leave to free up spots for the new players is never ending. Will continue to root for JTA if not on GSW come Fall of this year!!! His story and others like JTA such as GP2 are key reasons many of us watch and enjoy sports..

A do....1run1
Good stuff. Crete jr is an engineer, flying to & overseeing a project outside of Chicago. His boss is a big Chi-town BB fan, pro & HS
I forward your posts which he generously shares with his bossman whenever he gets on his hi horse about Windy City HS basketball.
Keep it coming, Primo.....
