Juju Surgery

Very sad. She is one of the most prominent faces of the women's game right now. Some of the NCAA women's tourney luster has diminished.

Yes. We have to do something about deceleration injuries. Deceleration or stopping
Is a unique movement that needs to be broken
Down and pieced back together. I was thinking
It should be practiced more by unloading the body… maybe in a pool????

I have watched this play from two angles. It appears to me she got knocked down by a player running into her from the side which caused her to fall and injure herself. However, the LA Times and AP call it a "non-contact" injury. Am I missing something?

There was a foul called, so there was contact... This *may* have had her make that one off-balance stride, and her landing was a bit awkward... But there was no actual contact on her knee, foot or ankle nobody hit it or fell on it, therefore you could call the injury "non-contact".

I kinda have an idea that the knee was "ready to collapse", much like a backboard glass that has been stressed to the point that just *one* more hard dunk at just the right angle, and shatter city...
