Kaepernick benched

Let him play and run. Bring Hayne back and let him start at RB and return punts! Who cares. Let's try to get some draft picks.

I'm not Kaep's biggest fan, but who does he have to throw to? Who's blocking for him? He's got a worse coach, worse talent around him, and it's not like the owner or GM's going to stand up and say they've messed up.

I think you guys hit the nail on the head. I think going to Gabbert is the wrong choice. He's going to get killed anyways behind the right side of that offensive line.

This is all on Trust Fund Baby-Jed York. Also Fran Tarkenton was interviewed recently and said why did Kap work with Kurt Warner? "He should have worked with me, Joe Montana, StevevYoung , Jeff Garcia as we were not the classic drop back pocket qb. Mike Holmgren, Mike Shanahan are around too!"

Any thoughts on this? Don't know how I feel about Gabbert...

Well RP it HAS been in the news now for quite some time. Thoughts? Not really his fault ----> he has no O line, he has a different mentor. The ARZ trip with Warner was never going to pay off asap because they are polar opposite QB's. He should have worked with Jeff Garcia IMO.

Some mention has to made that he was not anywhere near a prototypical QB in Turlock nor at Nevada. He was more like Slash with Pittsburgh or a tad like Mike Vick.

Kap is a good guy. My niece went to Nevada with him and says he is a for real guy. Has he lost his path maybe? Somewhat....with all the off season endorsements etc.

Great athlete. In another dream or in another world - I would have loved to see him play wide receiver - slot or tight end.

It was time. By all means their offensive play could not all be put on Kap's shoulders, probably not even half of it. But he did not fare well or even look passable back there. I think that play with the uncovered wide receivers finally forced a change. You have to see that when you've been at the helm as long as he has. No excuse.

Gabbert probably won't be much of a improvement, or any, but they need to see if he has progressed from his days in Jacksonville. Kap should be gone this offseason. I can't see them paying him, what they will owe him, for the results he has posted this year.

I say stack the offensive line through the draft and free agency. Then let Kap do his thing. He is a proven winner with a serviceable offensive line.

Also heard a interesting comparison the other day. Go look at Cam Newtons numbers this year. They are nearly IDENTICAL to Kaps. Cam has been brought up in MVP conversations this year. I understand Kaps struggles, but I think he has been judged way too harshly.

Anyone remember Crabtrees struggles on the 9ers last year? "He can't get open" "He sucks!" He is suddenly putting up big numbers on a potential playoff team with just a simple change of scenery. I would hate for them to let Kap go in a similar fashion.

It will be interesting what Vernon Davis does with the Broncos...If he lights it up again, all fingers will be pointing at the entire failure of the Niner organization.

geez. Tomsula is a bargain basement coach. Balke is an idiot. Both have to go. Bring in a football guy and give him gm power. How about:

John Gruden, Holmgren or Mariucci.

Draft lineman as the qb's in the draft are pretenders. Look for a qb in the lower rounds. Maybe a Vernon Adams as a free agent is worth a look. Hey wasn't Montana a low draft pick. We don't want a Ryan leaf, health Schuler
Or Robert griffin.
