Leave it to Palo Alto to figure out a convenient way to double its pre-season scrimmage effectiveness. Paly, a public school with multiple National Merit Scholars, high SAT scores and academic success all over the board, got in not one but two scrimmages over 20 hours or so. On Friday evening, half the roster visited Burlingame; just after lunchtime on Saturday, the other half trekked up to San Francisco to engage SI. Talk about doubling your practice snaps. Nice job, Vikings. They open with SI this coming Saturday. Heck, at this point, it's almost a friendly.

No, that was a very bad idea for the Palo Alto Football Program.

C.C.S. Bylaws allow only 1 scrimmage for any Football team. The Penalty is no scrimmages for the entire program for 3 years. Also the school is put on Probation for the current season and the next 2 season.

Anyone can report Palo Alto to the C.C.S.

Split squad team would still only be “one team”. Sounds like each player might have only participated in 1 scrimmage which obviously is allowed. Seems like Paly would be fine.

It would be roughly the same as if Paly, Burlingame and SI participated in a tri-scrimmage, allowing more snaps per player on the same day in the same place at about the same time.

Happens all the time with multiple team scrimmages. Hell they even call them jamborees sometimes.
