Los Gatos got a rushing touchdown from junior Adam Garwood and passing touchdowns from senior Yost Girvan to senior Gian Langemann and junior Kyle Pinkham in winning the program's 15th section title.

It is the Wildcats' first title since 2013 and first under head coach Mark Krail.

The championship game was plagued by turnovers and penalties in the first half, but overall, this was a game with both defenses vastly ahead of the offenses. After Los Gatos built a 14-0 lead early in the third quarter, it was content to work clock through the run game.

The game was put out of reach when Oak Grove turned it over on downs in the red zone early in the fourth quarter. On Los Gatos' next drive, it scored on a 3rd and 31 to go up three scores with three minutes left.

Congrats LG! But I think HMB would of given you guys a better game.

I don't like to make fun of people with ADD because I myself have it. I do have a point of clarification to make. Mark Krail was the coach of LG in 2013 when I believe they beat Saint Francis. Coach Krail and his staff run a great program and are well supported in that community. Couldn't happen to a better bunch.

My mistake. I thought 2013 was Butch's last year, but it was 2012.

Thanks for the correct info
