Congratulations to the young man. Interesting that most of DLS's best players end up playing out of state and even out of the PAC 12. Wonder why that issueNice writup on Hearns committing to Cal

No doubt, DLS is a national brand in HS football. Just puzzles me why more of their great players don't end up at Cal or Stanford.Strictly a guess, but De La Salle has a national brand in terms of high school football so more doors might be open to their younger players than other schools. Also, I think the trend is changing under Wilcox of keeping players closer to home
I’d guess the majority didn’t have Stanford grades. David Shaw does not bend much when he has so much to choose from Nationally. Cal did a terrible job in the latter years of Tedford and during all of Sonny Dykes tenure. Wilcox has been much more active and effective with Bay Area recruiting and much of the credit goes to assistant coach Burl Toler. Getting Angus McClure is going to a big help as well.No doubt, DLS is a national brand in HS football. Just puzzles me why more of their great players don't end up at Cal or Stanford.
