Marin Catholic for the last two season's and even more have always developed strong aggressive lines and has always come up with a QB to handle the offense.....Last season, the wildcats dropped the opener to Cosumnes Oaks 20-0 in which the QB was running on about 50% and the offense sputtered and could never really get going....But, things got on the right foot and the wildcats began to roll and marched through the League and when playoff time came around they had a close hard fought battle with Moreau Catholic and winning 31-27.....But the real surprise was how Central Catholic handled Marin Catholic, bombing them 49-14.
Now, Marin Catholic opens the 2016 season with Central Catholic on a road trip, the Wildcats should start the season with a new QB from the JV who is tall and lanky and has an arm, so how the out come of this game will unfold will depend on what both teams bring to the table.

9-03.....Menlo-Atherton home.....2 P.M. Sat
9-10.....St. Ignatius home 2 P.M. Sat.
9-17.....Redwood home 2 P.M. Sat.
9-24.....Tamalpais home 2 P.M. Sat.
9-30.....Bye
10-01...Novato Away 2 P.M. Sat.
10-08...Terra Linda Away 2 P.M. Sat
10-15...San Marin Home 2 P.M. Sat.
10-22...Drake Home 2 P.M. Sat.
10-28...Justin-Siena Away 7:30 P.M.
Talk about having the home field advantage and having only two night games, I personally like night football because it can be cooler and the field at Marin Catholic can get real hot....even with the sea breeze...

That CC game is gonna be a doozy! I've always liked that St. Ignatius Game. How will Menlo- Atherton Game be?

MC's very weak league, the MCAL, does no favors for the papal power on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Decades ago, MC was in the old CAL. That didn't work out well. Too much travel. Now, MC is rarely challenged during the league season. That can't be helpful in the post-season.

ColonelHenry is right...take a good look at each score of the league games, but MC is right in the middle of the league area, so this is the league they should be long to...Other wise any league they enter will be lots of traveling....Its the price they pay when they face the likes of CC or CO as they are not battle tested and each league game makes them look powerful.....The preseason opener may be a replay of the 2015 contest....

MC ran over Menlo-Atherton last year and should do the same again this year....
Don't sell M-A short. They return 2 very good RBs and many returning starters. They beat league-mate and CCS D3 Champion, SHP, last year.

Menlo-Atherton belongs to the Pennisula Bay league in which they went 4-1, but were in a three way tie with Burlingame and Sacred Heart Prep...season wise they went 6-5..
they dropped a14-0 game to Burlingame but managed to stop SHP 17-14 and went into the open play offs against San Benito of Hollister and lost 21-19...their worst defeat was at the hands of Oakdale 61-7 and MC took care of them 42-3....It would appear that the league M-A is in, is not as strong as the Marin co. league, but thats up for debate. Jordan say's M-A has a good returning crew coming back, so maybe M-A will give MC a challenge...

I recall M-A rb Jordan Mims was hurt and did not play until the Riiordan game and even then he was limited....Also their returning starting QB transferred and they were still figuring it out...M-A has on its 2016 non-league Bellarmine, MC, SHC and Los Gatos. Not shabby competition at all. Just saying they should be competitive next season and they are not shying away from good FB programs.

MA will have a very good veteran team in 2016 and their schedule shows that they are confident in their outlook. MC looks to graduate a number of good players, especially their QB who was player of the year, but they always seem to reload. The CC vs MC will be an interesting game. It should tell us a lot about both teams in the early season.
