Interesting, I completely forgot his brothers play at Sierra Canyon. These are the teams I think have the best shot at landing Marvin Bagley.........

Prolific Prep - Only an hour away from Sacramento. His brother could easily board there like they do with some of their kids, and his brother could come visit him to watch games.

Sheldon - A quick 20 min drive away from the Golden 1 Center. Sheldon really battled hard last year and turned some heads. I think they 100% could get a look. Would be a crazy scenario, since Sierra Canyon (Former School) Met Sheldon in the State Championship last season!

Modesto Christian - About an hour away from the Golden 1 Center. I've been reading a lot of things about Modesto Christian on these boards. Would be very interesting if they landed Marcus.

Folsom - Another highly ranked Sacramento school that is about 20-25 min from the Golden 1 Center. Would probably get a ton of PT right away if he joined this team.

Overall I'm excited to see where they end up! Marcus is a 4-star prospect and will be going into his Junior year.

Surprised to not see Capital Christian or Jesuit on the list. I understand on paper Sheldon, MC are better then the two local private schools in the Sacramento area, but I personally wouldn’t think any of the public schools have a chance at him enrolling. Seems most NBA families with with kids end up in private schools. At least most the names I’ve seen over the years. Maybe it’s because they have more “control” or “say” in situations.

I would think he would want to be as close to Sacramento and experience his brothers first few years in the league. Being able to go to the most amount of home games and etc. I think Prolific Prep although not terribly far, the amount of time they are gone traveling for their games and having to live there seems like it would eliminate that option.

I believe he is already a four star recruit so his D1 future isn’t at stake. As anyone else will be, I’m just guessing and this was my best attempt at trying to figure out what he might do, lol...

He already has a handful of big time offers. No issues with any of his star rankings or playing time. He would be the best player in SJS regardless of what school he attends. I would throw Jesuit on the list as well. Most of these kids end up at a private. CC, Jesuit, PP seem like most likely choices. Folsom/Sheldon seem like long shots but you never know.

Never seen the kid play but I'd guess Capital or Jesuit. And since Capital has females on campus they'd be my favorite. Anyone think the Dad will keep his EYBL program even though his son signed with Puma? Could open door for a Sac based Nike program. Sac has enough horses. 17s next year
Brown
Bagley
Munson
Siva
Hawkins

Not sure if anyone on this board has actually seen the younger Bagley play... Best player n SJS??? I don't think so... Marcus Bagley is not Marvin... kid has some ability and definitely potential to blossom given what his brother is, but don't go anointing just yet...

Best player in Sac next year will be Munson. I think Bagley is going private as well. Prolific, Capital, MC, Jesuit would be my best guess as an order. More than two or three people have mentioned he is very good, but not a complete program changer.

That would be quite interesting. Any sort of article? I can't seem to find any online. I believe you though. Would be a huge haul for Sheldon and they might be one of the best teams in California if this is true.

Not sure how reliable, but I saw this on twitter....

I wonder where ESPN ranks their incoming recruiting class. Gotta be at the top right? HAHA. Bagley, Oregon, Bradshaw, Morgan is a good class.

Whose keeping track at home, 3 years in a row getting a kid from Bradshaw Christian. 2 outta last 3 years get a kid from Pleasant Grove. Probably enrolled some 9th graders from Pinkerton & Harris. Lets just call it what it is RE

...REAL Parents /Handlers want to chase the winning culture. LOL. But can you really be 11 Deep? Hope they figure it out and go on another great run.

Someone will be doing a ton of sitting and not the transfers but they are definitely the favorite to get to State

So what are you implying?

So what are you implying?
No implications, great programs attract talent. especially neighborhood talent where parents believe "winning leads to scholarships"

The recruiting class line was joke. Me accusing SHELDON of recruiting (which i'm not) accomplishes nothing. Also, its 2018-2019 if you aren't at least having a conversation with kids and their parents you're doing your entire program a disservice.

Just seems like you have some fascination for Sheldon basketball. I wonder who is your source for the info that you get?

Man, if this kid showed up at Folsom there would be a FIT across this board lol

Shows up at Sheldon- no big deal.

Folsom's entire rotation last year was transfers and non Folsom kids. Nobody said a thing. Just the way high school sports are nowadays.

aren't they the best team in the area, why wouldn't I want to know about them. Stop reaching bro, no fascination.

and the coaching fraternity is pretty small in sac. maybe if you were in it, you'd have the same sources.

I dont need sources and i dont gossip about what other schools do. I just know you and a couple other posters like to crack jokes or imply that Sheldon runs a dirty program. My son played for Joey 5 years ago and he is a great coach who runs a great program and for whatever reason dont get any credit for what he does. You have all these buster coaches and parents who envy what Sheldon has done starting rumors or just plain hating on everything he has done.

You are being paranoid. Nobody cares. There are many great programs in the 916.

Appreciate them and move on.

so it's just a coincidence that he enrolls at Sheldon I am sure it had nothing to do with basketball
and maybe getting a chance to square off against Sierra canyon in the state finals. If you read
the newspaper article online the quote by the coach is classic I just coach the kids that are here and then
the principal paula duncan says she has not met the new student yet. Talk about urban Meyer looking
bad at a press conference there lack of knowledge about a NBA player's younger brother
Coming to there school is comical.

Of course the decision was based on basketball, and i think its great. The more players in Norcal the better......

Sheldon looks to be a solid front runner but it is nowhere near a foregone conclusion. Modesto Christian is strong. Riordan added some players and Dublin has an athletic young team that can make some noise. Let the games begin.
