Of the 25, five are in CA, all in SoCal except for St. Joseph in Santa Maria, which is almost SoCal.

#3 Roosevelt of Eastvale
#5 St. John Bosco
#10 Harvard-Westlake
#19 Sierra Canyon
#24 St. Joseph-Santa Maria

At a glance, this looks to me like an NFHS member list, no "academies" that I know of.

Good list. Roosevelt and St. Joseph are solid teams with most of last season's rosters returning. The other three teams added players, especially SC, from the high school transfer portal that may influence how quickly they can gel. Top teams for sure. Looking forward to seeing which teams from Northern California are ready to meet the challenge on the court.

Interesting that SC somewhat took a breather from a roster FULL of kids of NBA dads. At one juncture in the last 10 years it appeared that every year you would get a steady pipeline of them.

celebs send their kids there. Aaron Donalds daughter plays there. Premier education and athletics plus a ton of ex athletes settled in so cal. it makes sense

Salesian, Modesto Christian, Riordan, DeLaSalle and SRV would be formidable against the SoCal teams.
Agreed. The gap has narrowed big time over the past few seasons. Royalty still reigns supreme down south but don't rule out a team like Salesian that will defend like no other.
