I haven't seen everyone on the list yet, but I don't have much to quibble about. I would have put Branham ahead of Evergreen after they beat the Cougars this week. Also, Los Gatos belongs on here, somewhere in the 15ish range.

Evergreen Valley was without their leading scorer, Ryka Aprameyan in their game against Branham, so could see the logic. It will all sort itself out.

The public/private debate is always a hot one on this board. I tend to agree with those who think there is a wide gap between them that seems to grow each year, particularly in CCS. So it is worth observing that the rankings above includes four public high schools in the top ten, and five more between 10 & 20 (six if you include Los Gatos, as you should). At least two publics, SRV and Acalanes, could challenge for the NorCal title if the Mitty Machine wasn't around.

So what do we make of this public school flex? A blip? A trend?
