The CIF is pretty hard on international transfers since Modesto Christian brought in a ton of boys a while back. I don't think that's viable in CIF.

As for LuHi, or any school, going to the same tournaments every year becomes routine -- and thus not that much fun, or ROI. We don't expect teams to come to the Jamboree every year, though we're thankful many do. Some years they may want to go somewhere else, for whatever reason. The Phoenix trip is hugely expensive, even if some expenses are taken care of. Twenty years ago, it was $8,000 to $10,000 when you added it all up.
Coach Phillips might have hangs ups according to different folks you talk to but so do other coaches. I will say that I've seen a lot of other schools underachieve with rosters that Coach Phillips would have dominated with. At the end of the day she deserved credit as a coach whether you like her or not.
