Manasse Itete arrived at Modesto Christian a basketball talent who was only encouraged to play football because of the small private school's low enrollment. In less than two seasons, Itete has blossomed into a national football recruit with offers from Southern California, UCLA, Oregon and others.

Modesto Christian has attracted players from many places over the years as it's well known in the basketball world. Richard Midgely, who played at Cal and coached at MC, came from England to play. I didn't realize this until I read this article that MC requires its athletes to play two sports, but that makes sense given that the school is so tiny. I don't have official enrollment figures but I would guess it's less than 200.

Gary Porter sold stocks and worked with companies all around the World. Word got out that if you have talent send them to us and we will make sure they get a chance to be seen. The original staff of Bobby Cole and Gary Porter coached slam n jam before anyone realized how it could ascend to high school. They went 33-0 in the first year! Two Brothers lead the way over Horizon Christian of San Diego. Then the Chuck Hayes years came with other Central Valley talent joined by Marc Pratt, Richard Midgley and many other international players. History of Hoosiers right here in Modesto. watched the entire sage and Brice is now leading the way. Watched him with Michael Porter, Adrian Oliver defeat Price in 2004. RELATIONSHIPS!!!
