What are your predictions for this game? Both teams are top tier teams, but I'm hoping MC can get a W here

Junior Ballard just hit a shit from like Steph Curry range with time expiring on the possession clock to give Modesto Christian the section title.. WOW

omg.... wow. What a game.

So with MC winning now are the top 4 in open looking like...

1. Salesian
2. ODOWD
3. MC
4. Bellarmine

Teams that should have serious consideration for open

Salesian
Modesto Christian
Bellarmine
O’Dowd
Heritage
CVC
Sheldon
St. Pats
Las Lomas

Is there any chance St. Pats goes open?

A team with double digit losses is not worthy imo. If they are worthy then SJND is as well. PALY and Menlo are more deserving. As would be Pleasant Valley who beat st pats. St Mary's Stockton, Folsom.

I love SPSV but they are a year away from having an argument.

St. Pats D1 in new format? Or D2/3 more likely?

I think St. Pats is D1 or D2. Winning the section and having the win over Las Lomas could push them into D1, but my guess is they settle at D2

Heritage is the only D1 NCS team in the open. Forget about Dublin and CVC they can go D1 NorCal.

Name one top team ranked about Dublin they have won? Same goes for CVC.

The Open division should look something like

3) BOD
4) Bellarmine
5) Sheldon
6) Folsom
7) Heritage
8) Capital

I threw in St. Pat’s as to be considered, because of their recent past success in winning State. Also, Most of their losses thismseason came early without their full team. I agree they probably won’t be in Open buti think they should be D1 possibly D2

If you think why competitive equity was put in place, it is to let the teams that haven’t been there get there.
That being the case. They would have to consider teams recent past seasons. We will see how the committee views competitive equity.

Salesian-Clear favorite
Mc-wins over 3 open teams
O’Dowd
Bellarmine
Sheldon
SJM- I believe they will be in the North
Heritage
Capital

Folsom will not be placed above Capital. Capital seeded higher in the section and owns a win over Folsom. Don’t believe Los Lomas/SPSV will be considered.

No SP/SV or DLS? St. Pats beat LL and DLS beat both St. Pats and Alameda. Those would be 2 juggernauts at the D2 level for sure.

@observer22 i think dls and spsv will get in d1 over University, Pleasant Valley, and Centeal Catholic. It’s going to be interesting how they do this. Teams like Monte Vista and Amador Valley could end up in D2 and have a chance at winning it. I assume College Park will end up in d2 as well maybe Logan in d2 or D3. NCS and Sjs d1 had the toughest field hands down. I can see Lincoln and Jesuit in thatD2 field also. Campolindo could also sneak up to d1. If not they will be d2 for sure

Maaaaaaan I didn't even think about DLS... lmao didn't they play they last game around Valentine's Day lol smh...... they'd be around 11 or 12 ahead of central catholic ......SPSV is kinda hard to pinpoint....they have 10 losses, they did beat Los lomas but they still split with st Joe's and I don't think they've been ranked all season, maybe for about a week or 2....should be very interesting....spsv clearly isn't in the top 10 of the d1s so I really wonder if they will get punished and get a low d1 seed and have to go on the road to somewhere like Folsom or Los lomas....lmao got schools praying to be number 25 hahahahhaa

Lmao nevermind.... forgot about campo and Jesuit too lol they both would be ahead of spsv as well

Well Jesuit lost in the 2nd round and SPSV won their Section so i dnt are Jesuit getting ahead of them but maybe Campo

Does anyone want to take a shot at all the brackets? 1-88 lol. I know that’s a lot of teams. Maxpreps should do a Northern California Ranking. Instead of only Section, California division and California
