It's very sad. I know little about Morgan Green, except that she was very, very talented, and my comment doesn't necessarily relate to her, as I have no idea what the issues were at Michigan State. But parents and players need to realize that being successful in basketball (and life) takes more than just raw talent. There's a lot of other things that are just as important, and getting blinded by talent, and assuming that's all that's needed, can lead to disappointment.

Again, I have no idea what went down with Green and Suzy Merchant, the coach at Michigan State, and hopefully she'll resurface somewhere else and finish her college career on an upbeat note. It would be great to see her back in Northern California and playing well ...
