Time to start thinking about where this league is headed for 2016-2017.
Just thinking about who left and who is coming back, I think Windsor will be ok with a couple of bigs coming in, but they lost pretty much every major scoring threat they had. BTW last year's star Gabe Knight is playing at SRJC but not getting a lot of floor time yet. Also BTW looks like the 6' 11" kid from Monty, Poulsen, is also there after taking a year off. Should be interesting. I wonder if he spent his year doing anything that would help his game, like gaining weight. Go to go see them soon and find out.
Back to NBL, Ukiah graduated all but one of their core, but the exception, Koch, is good so they may be ok. Newman also graduated their core, but they have good players coming up, Wallace is healthy, and of course they are well coached. You could say pretty much the same of Monty. It'll be interesting to see how Poulson's brother had progressed - he could be their #1 threat on offense this year. I think Santa Rosa is the favorite. They are bringing back more of their core than the rest. Isaiah Steele will be the guy for them. Carrillo should be a little more experienced and bigger but still, coaching is an issue. I wouldn't expect too much from Casa. Last I heard Torkelson hurt his leg pretty good in football and will not play basketball. Rancho will be better, but not enough to make much of a difference. Maybe enough to win a game?
