Thanks, Cheers, for the cheery post.Justin-Siena beat San Marin 34-20.
Outted!!! Yeah, yer right, Rmbr26. Tongue in cheek. Cheek in jowl. Actually, I am a fan of the HEATMAN. Anyone who can lead Streaker's Pick'm Pack into Week 5 has got some amazing Pick'm skills that weren't just aquired at birth. Discipline, too. Me? So, when I pick Grant with a high possibility of winning, it's because I really do believe in the stuff in the medicine bottles that herwoo12 is always selling, that, and recollections of the Pacer Past edging out reality. And I love Del Oro's stadium and the very edgy game night home town atmosphere, so, when I pick Oro over Folsom (as a very low pick-possibility) it's simply the Monkey in the Brain's wishful thinking versus rational, analytical, objectiveness uncontrolably influenced by emotions instead of the cool composed computer that HEATER's obviously got firing in his brain. My brain, filled with...well, there you go, look no further than the name... Ha! Muds!Hmmm, seems our Matriarch Muddenguts has touched a nerve here on the board - though those of us who know him know he is strictly kidding around & means nuthin' of it...BTW did I hear the word "Fun" mentioned? ... oh yeah.. Go Mudds!
Folsom's stadium, right? Or that college field where Folsom plays its home games? If that's it (and that photo up the thread is a beaut! Just looking at makes the knees go weak), I saw a couple games there one day and night when they had a jamboree of teams from all over playing there in an early season hsfootball fest. My main memory, though, was nearing sunset and suddenly this huge shadow crosses the field and I look up and I swear I thought I just been transported into the opening scene of George Lucas' first Star Wars movie, that scene where Darth Vader's giant battle cruiser fills the screen. What it was, filling the sky over Folsom's stadium, was the V-shaped Stealth Bomber (Egads that thing is BIG!) flying low over head, no noise to speak off, no warning, just quietly swooshing over the stadium as if it was laundry day at the base. But yeah, nice stadium (but back then, not the atmosherics as in Del Oroland, or the Old Pit in Salinas, or even on game night at San Jose City College when the Bells are playing arch rivals Serra, SI, VC, Mitty or St. Francis. Talk about crowd edge: this one Bell guy, a former Bell coach told me that Bellarmine doesn't like to beat opponants as much as they like them to get beat so bad they lose their will to live. MudsIt really is! I am a homer, but it is for sure my fav!
That is Folsom's home stadium. We do not play at any college. We have our very own stadium, complete with blue turf.Folsom's stadium, right? Or that college field where Folsom plays its home games? Thanks for the stadium update, G61. I'd hate to travel nearly across the entire golden state to catch a game at Folsom High only to park outside what ever college stadium I was thinking about and wonder why a Friday night game wasn't breaking out between your team and its next vic. But yeah if I knew how to make that photo up there my screen saver, I'd do it in a heart-beat. Oh, what are the atmospherics there on game night? MudsThat is Folsom's home stadium. Vista Del Lago also plays their home games at our stadium.
Beautiful venue
I assume you mean weather? Generally, pretty good. Last night it was 75 and clear. It gets hot during the first few games of the year but is usually around 80 by game time. Thanks for the stadium update, G61.
