Ncs Division 1 first round predictions?

College park getting in was a joke went 2 and 8 in league committee clearly
sent a message that league record doesn't matter.Same goes
with liberty did nothing in league and got an 11 seed over a 17 and 9 mt eden
team whose league put 4 teams in the playoffs also.I believe they got the top 6 seeds
Correct but 7 thru 16 is really hard to figure out what the committee was thinking.

Dublin by 20+, despite the fact Dublin lost to Foothill, who split a pair with College Park. Of course, Dublin didn't have the super-frosh that day...

DV at Antioch should be a barn burner... League rivals, the 2 games they've played result in a 1-1 record with one point difference, the visitor winning each time. Totally a coin-flip in what amounts to being the two teams' "hoops Super Bowl" with a heavily-favored Dublin waiting in the wings to end the winner's season. My prediction... The place will sell out FAST, and extra security personnel will be everywhere. Wonder if they should move the game to a neutral site? And if so where? In any case, this may be the Tuesday game I choose to witness in person, provided I can wedge myself in the door...

Logan by 18, all of the common-opponent results lean heavily to the Colts, who appear to have a size edge also. I haven't seen either team play since December and things can certainly change quickly at the HS level, but I'll go with "the chalk" on this one...

Freedom hosts Castro Valley... Tough game for me; I haven't seen CV at all this year, and only saw Freedom a couple times back in December (they looked horrible v. Salesian, and not really all that great in a win over Burlingame). Athletic, fast, 94-foot-press-alla-time team that can certainly be fun to watch if they don't fly out-of-control. I'll pick the "good" Freedom to show up and win by 9.

Heritage faces EC, a team that has just... not.. caught... fire this season, at least partly because their Notre Dame-bound footballer (not a bad hooper, either) is enrolled early in South Bend. I haven't seen Heritage play this year, but I'll go with them by 14 anyway.

CVC hosts Foothill, whom they beat in a road game by 13. Easy win coming, right? Not so fast... Foothill has come on strong since their loss at Spartyville several games back while CV has been cruising unchallenged thru the weaker half of the DVAL. I'll pick the more competition-tested Foothill to get the road win.

DLS by 20+, nuff said. Berkeley's seen this movie way too many times...

Liberty at San Leandro, interesting game since Liberty won by 11 in their game last month at Liberty, but SL has a slightly better record vs. common opponents. I'll go with the live-meeting despite the opposite venue, Liberty by 4.

Berkeley just put up 82 points vs O Dowd a loss only by 2.

Dublin gets a chance to exact some revenge on their classic 2013 NorCal 93-90 OT loss to CP in the D2 Finals. Gaels should be favored by 30 in this one.

I believe Dublin was heavily favored back in 2013..........Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Coming off a big win against DLS. Don't over look CP

The difference is that CP also had a pretty good team (and coach) that year in winning the NorCal championship, as opposed to this year's team that completely collapsed over the 2nd half of the season (losing 8 of their last 9) and was lucky to have even been selected for the playoffs. Check out some of their scores. LL beat them by 47 and Miramonte beat them by 23. I don't think the Gaels will overlook them, but it will be a boat race by halftime.

College park had no business of even getting in the playoffs with a 2-8 league record
over other teams who were much better in league play Srv and doughtery were both 7 - 6
in a league with 2 of the top 3 seeds in the playoffs.
