“Are these @TheR wins averaging 30-35 pts., except SHC which was at 40.”

I state this and t understanding the “looking glass of reality” will reveal more, but is this ratio of wins by,…a new record in the folklore @TheR?

Can @jordan24 or @ARHS Stats confirm or deny?

Mercury News said this was the largest margin of victory for Riordan over Serra in 20 years.

Sometimes people can gloss over scores like they have posted in league play, but it was been a really impressive start for the Crusaders

Serra is a notoriously tough place to play for WCAL teams. Nicknamed by former SI Coach Bob Drucker (RIP) as the “Jungle”.

Looks like St. Francis is the worst team in the league this year. What's the spread for tonight's game at Riordan? 50 points?

Mitty is a notch or two down from where they typically are, but that was super impressive by Riordan

Also VC has had a nice showing thus far in league play

Valley Christian plays Riordan at the Crusader Forum this Friday. Riordan is at St. Ignatius next Tuesday. SI and Riordan could both be 6-0 when they meet next week.

Valley is much improved. Looking at their scores, they actually play defense this year. Riordan will still beat them by 30 and SI by 20. Riordan's second team would come in 2nd place in league.

Saw Serra play for the first time in league play at SF. SF was missing their bigs and still won 44-40. This might be one of Serra worst teams in recent memories.

Didn't have Serra losing on my bingo card last night. Are there still some Padres out with injury?
SHC @ home is Mitty's kryptonite. Nice win by the Irish.
SI in a trap game as they may have overlooked the Bells in anticipation to Tuesday night's game hosting Riordan.
Just another night in the WCAL.

Just another night in the WCAL.
Serra's healthy, save for Cannon. Shot 5-15 at the line in the second half and St. Francis has turned a corner.

Since posting a 9-1 nonleague record, Serra has welcomed two players into the fold. Blanco returned from injury and Bailey finished his transfer sit-out period. Teams have really keyed in on limiting Ballout, and while the entire roster is full of solid players, nobody's really taken on a standout role.

Is it okay to State the obvious:

#FriscoFinestIsAtTheForum

I don’t think any sane poster thought @TheR would meet a defeat this season. I think we had a certain poster make claims this season’s team was not like the Riordan of Old. Well I guess that Question has been answered by the amount of Defensive Beat Down @TheR is sprinkling around the league as if the opponents were side appetizers on a Snoop & Martha cooking show receiving a Dash of @TheR Hot Sauce😂😄😂

The test is now, can @TheR maintain this level of play in the Close Out of WCAL and on to the State Run,…the reality IS there is No Statistical reason to Not think they will🏀👍🏀

Riordan is annihilating opponents! WCAL down? Might be that the league has one exceptional team with ability to win the Open.
CCS playoffs appears that Riordan will not be challenged, if you were in WCAL you surely would prefer to be placed in Division playoffs.

That is a very astute point…maybe dropping down to Div. III a team could hang a banner🥹🥹

Would it be fair to state that Riordan basketball has become the L.A. Dodgers of the WCAL?
I would reverse that and say that the LA Dodgers are the Mitty girls basketball of MLB....The uproar over the Dodgers is hilarious since high school and college sports have been this way for about 25 years—a few good teams with the most resources and athletes.

WCAL is definitely down this year, though, surprisingly 5 teams still remain in the top Bay Area polls. The difference this year is the depth, team chemistry and defense. No egos and very selfless.

That may be all true, but the difference is the Defense

When a team is using a baseline 30 point wins, WCAL teams are not down when they play each other,…except when they play TheR

As much as I personally appreciate ARHS stats,…I wish he would calculate defensive stats

Is this an admission in previous years your team may have had some players with high egos that was a detriment to the team chemisty? Still even with that those teams made deep runs into Nor Cals. Its ok if you want to name these players.

I maintain this year's team I think beats Aaron Gordon's state team.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Mittys Arron Gordon’s team beat other WCAL opponents at an average of 30+ points. Although Mitty can hoist the bar standard of a NBA CHAMPIONSHIP player under coach their legacy coach and son of a Riordan Coach

But honestly only board posters care about a team having a Kumbuya Moments,…it seem Coach Curtin and staff are focused on execution and defense this year

That's because Riordan historically loves to run up the score vs the lesser teams. John Crease from Cobra Kai would love these guys. No Mercy. The other schools dont do that period. Its called sportsmanship. St. Francis probably the best as exemplifying that.

I have seen a few teams recently keeping their starters in the game well into the 4th quarter even with 25+ point leads. Not sure if the coaches are just allowing the players to collect stats or if they are truly trying to bury an already beaten opponent.

Have you watched the games? Riordan substitutes freely throughout the game. They get much of their points based on turnovers. Hasn’t Salesian been steamrolling their league opponents by 40+ points? I’m sure they go to their bench thoughout as well.

@iamgearyblvd,

You really have to GetOut (movie recommended) of the DisneyVerse, these alternative realities that Is very common with SHC posters. It has Done Nothing to attract Athletic (may I say D1) Student/Athletes or their parents to their Program who read this board.

Note:
Don’t dread TheR taking SHC lunch money or GF on Thursday, Riordan used do it at their Riordan dances that other school girls would be invited…Now they just Do It in their Games🥺😩😩

@viper221980,

Get out of that DisneyVerse, what game our you watching in this Universe we all live in,…Alternative Realities don’t Rank #1 in Cal and Top 50 nationally.

I have and they are entertaining as hell. Its a dunk fest. PHI-SLAMMA-JAMMA reincarnated. SI was the league's best shot at keeping it close and they too were demoralized. The only way I see them even losing a game before NorCal Open finals is if a team gets hot and hits 25 3's on them.

Not sure what you are referencing. I haven't seen a complete Riordan game since Gridley.

The relentless full court pressure, and once past half court they trap from different positions, then the rim protection if the offense beats the trap. And they do this the whole game even with their bench, backup bigs. Everybody is bought in on defense. 90% of the time, teams can't even get into their sets.

Your statement referenced differently,…at least stand by what you post?

TheR is beating down WCAL opponents and TheR fans are making posters retracting post?
