If Monte Vista wins it will be from getting out coached. Have not been impressed with DLS new system. Have not seen them make any adjustments when Ratinho being face guarded. Where are the screens and picks to get him open..

And if MV beats DLS, Nick Jones would have played a major role. DLS just has the horses this year and they've been waiting for this group to be seniors since they were 8th graders.

Yeah I feel the same way about MV. They really shouldn't be in contention but are clearly one of, if not the best coached team in Northern Calif. Nick Jones has proven that. DLS seemed to have played better earlier in the year. I haven't been that impressed as of late. Maybe a funk ?
The top 3 SJS teams to me look like they could be the favorites in the open and if Sheldon goes D1 they should be favorite. (whether its folsom, modesto, or Sheldon)

You are right! They have not been playing well at all. Coaches need to figure out how to get their leading scorer the ball. Jones will face guard Ratinho and make everyone else beat you. That's why the games have been so close, nobody else can score consistently. I would not be surprised at all that MV pulls out a W. DLS coaches need to figure out how to get Ratinho the ball more. MV will play a box and 1 on Ratinho and when he does have the ball they all collapse on him. Someone will have to step up.

What is the deal with Peters? Why isn't he picking up the slack? I thought he had a lot of talent but his range was somewhat limited. More of a mid range game. (the lost art)
Larry, Nikhil Peters has been big for the Spartans. Last time they played MV he was the leading scorer. Hit a bunch of threes early to set the tone.
