D1:
My pick to win is the chalk, CVC.
Most-likely low seed (below top 4) to make it to Round 3: 10-seed Amador is hot as heck and just beat Dublin. Can they do it again? Can they get past Logan for that matchup? Enquiring minds want to know... I'm going to the DLS game tonight, sticking close to home.

D2:
My pick: 2-seed Las Lomas. O'Dowd seems more talented, but they seem a bit inconsistent while LL has had only one off-week and seems well recovered from that.
Round-3 low-seed pick: 5-seed Acalanes. Inconsistent, but they have some nice wins.

D3:
My pick: top-seed Salesian. Duh. Nobody in their class in this bracket...
Longshot to make Round 3: I don't see one. should be a chalky Final 4, but I'll say Albany just to fill this space.

D4:
My pick: top-seed St. Joe's, my favorite team to root for, and the 1-seed. This is where I'll be tomorrow night. Should have an easy time, but they're my team and all...
Longshot to make Round 3: Lick-Wilmerding.

D5:
My pick: Look out! Ol' Branson is BACK!
Longshot that makes round 3: My alma mater, Berean Christian. They could face old league rival Redwood Christian in the 2nd round, an interesting game (sort of), maybe. Not interesting enough for me to attend... but sorta.

Just for comparison, Prep2Prep's picks are:

D1: Dublin (sleeper, Logan)
D2: O'Dowd (sleeper, Redwood)
D3: Salesian (sleeper, Albany)
D4: SPSV (sleeper, St. Mary's)
D5: University (sleeper, Redwood Christian)

That's why they play the games....

D1:
My pick is: Dublin, they have both the inside and outside game to win in the half court. Their defense is suspect at times but they make teams play at there pace and very few teams (Clayton & Heritage) can keep it up for 32 minutes.

Sleeper: James Logan, defending D1 champs from a year ago and they are no stranger to big games.

D2:
My pick is: Bishop O'Dowd, by far the best coached team in this division. There is no team in their bracket that can run with them, rebound with them and pound it down low with them, they can turn it up at both ends.

Sleeper: Newark Memorial, they do lack talent but I don't think of a #4 team as a sleeper, so here ya go, #11 seed.

D3:
My pick is: Salesian, I have said this since week 1, they are the best team in the area and I think they will run the table.

Sleeper: Albany! They have seen them twice in the regular season and Albany might be the best defensive team in this bracket. I think Albany will play Campo in the semi-finals. I saw them hold Salesian to 51 points in their first meeting and that opened my eyes, quite impressive, especially if you know Salesian roster.

D4:
My pick is: St. Pat's-St. Vincents. This should be an epic battle of #1 vs. #2 and I give a slight advantage to the Bruins in the rematch, plsu they have a score to settle and at a neutral site, anything can happen. I also like there league schedule, seem to be more battle tested then the Pilots.

Sleeper: St. Mary's, I don't think it will happen but they are talented and battle tested from the same league as Salesian & St. Pat's.

D5:
My pick is: University, I have seen them play a few times and every time, I come away impressed. Big time program that is very well coached and they can lock you down defensively when needed.

Sleeper: Clear Lake, hosting Berean is a huge advantage but also a major uphill battle.

D1 - Give me Heritage over CVC in the Championship Game. I like the fact that Heritage has a ton of Seniors and Juniors. Also played Dublin and Dublin barely beat them earlier this year.

Sleeper: De La Salle.....I'll never count them out of any tournament.

D2 - Give me Bishop O'Dowd over Moreau Catholic in the Championship game. Really wish Kyree Walker would have stuck around and we could have seen Hardy/Gaskins vs. Walker. I think O'Dowd has a nice NCS, will be very hard for any team to stop one of the best guard combos on the West Coast.

Sleeper: Alameda....Only lost to Salesian, De La Salle, and 2 out of state programs.

D3 - Salesians over Campolindo in the Championship by 20+ points. This Salesian team is one of the best teams in the history of the Bay Area. An Amazing run will continue, and this will all be a warm up for their Open Division run.

Sleeper: None......Salesians is about 100000x better than any other team.

D4 - Give me Stuart Hall over St. Joe's of Notre Dame in the Championship game. I'm a Knights fan, so a bit of a homer. I realize SJND has put up a damn good fight since they got that transfer. But Stuart Hall is no slouch, and while their PG has been recovering from injury, I believe he will play both NCS and States. Stuart Hall beat Sacramento High earlier this year, something SJND couldn't do. Also Freshman Nigel Burris should give Dishon Jackson of SVSP problems, IF the Knights are able to get that far.

Sleeper: Saint Mary's....Have to agree with a previous poster. Tough division, their coach is the former Riordan and Half Moon Bay Coach so he knows Stuart Hall well. Will be a tough 2nd round game for my Knights, if they can get past Middletown tomorrow.

D5 - University over Branson in what maybe the best of all the possible NCS Championships. As a Stuart Hall Fan, I can attest to the fact that both these teams are very special. Branson beat us 2x, University 3x(2x without our PG), but this game will probably be played at Kezar. I highly suggest any high school basketball fan go. Spencer Spivey of Uni is a very good PG, and Junior Charley Moore is also very good.

Sleeper: None...I've seen the 3 seed Urban play and there is no one that can even stay within 20 points of Uni or Branson.

Dublin vs. CVC will be the championship game in D1, but I'm not ever counting out DLS.

BOD is taking D2 this year, they've been right there too many times in the years past.

I don't remember the last time I've seen as big of a difference between the 1st seed and the rest as there is with Salasian. If they don't win NCS easily, something has gone really wrong. There honestly shouldn't even be a team that finishes within 10 vs. them, the gap is that big.

Dublin has best players inside and out.
Clayton has great shooters but not as much depth as Dublin.
Heritage very good and their point guard transfer makes them go. NED is unbelievable .
DELA is very capable of beating anyone.
logan is a nice sleeper team. They beat Moreau at Moreau

Looking at the D4 and D5 brackets I just don't see an upset tonight. Going with all the higher seeds. Head Royce(9) might get Cloverdale(8) in D5, but that's not much of an upset.

MV vs Clayton should be a great game. Methodical team vs fast team . Should be an interesting game of contrasts.

Albany beats Drake 29-26 in D3??? What the hell, was this a 6th grade game???
