No idea on paper they seem slightly Improved of the past few years. They haven’t been really good since about 2013 and went downhill since 2016. I’m guessing maybe demographic change/emphasis on football? Used to be good in football and hoop.

looking back, In 2013 Deer Valley was legit as well, they had dropped off the map as well, I know Antioch has gotten a little better but DV is a large school and they are pretty bad now. I know it’s tough with DLS right there as well as Pitt, Antioch in district, and the 3 Liberty schools so close, even Clayton is right there. Seems like many former powerhouses/good programs have dropped since 2013-16ish, in SJS look no further than Grant and Nevada Union.

Since you’ve asked twice and are probably looking for some bulletin board material, I’ll bite. Logan will get totally dominated in all aspects. Logan hasn’t been relevant since Zuber was running the show. Prediction The Machine 56 Logan 6. No shame in losing to DLS, they will be able to tell their grandkids they battled the Machine back in the day.

Most first round games are not even worth freezing your bottom off but there are a few possible great matchups. I personally don’t like league rematches but that MV vs Cal High game could be fun. Will rookie coach CJ Anderson pull out another close win or will Calcagno make the adjustments and come out on top?
Another intriguing team might be Tennyson. They are 9-0 and have a decent win against Logan. Second round game against CN might be good. Logan sqeaked out a win over SL that squeaked out a win over CN.

Logan lost 49-7 to a Cal High team that in turn lost 52-14 to DLS. Thus, it does not look good for Logan.

These poor schools in NCS it’s just so unfair. I mean they have to play DLS and it’s just so unfair boo hoo. You people sound frankly pathetic. Year after year the top teams in the state get no bowl bids, no BS state titles nothing. And you know what? They are OK with that because if they can’t win that Southern section title they understand they weren’t good enough. It might help to explain that to NCS programs instead of making excuses of why they can’t win.

Agree, that’s why there shouldn’t be an automatic bid to the Open State game without playing in Norcals. Which was created after DLS demolished ”great” Folsom teams two years in a row.
