MaxPreps rankings in for SJS D2 updated today ranks St. Mary’s behind both Manteca and Del Oro. Del Oro leaped frog St. Mary’s “today” it seems on the basis that they are playing Folsom tonight, even without Del Oro even taking the field yet

Yet, CalPreps has St. Mary’s ranked above both of these teams in their poll:

Outside of tonight’s games, Del Oro’s (12.5) and Manteca’s (7.1) SOS is below St. Mary’s (14.2).

Go figure!

BTW. We don’t really care! We do our talking on the field, just as we did last week vs DLS. No worries.

You need to realize that the MaxPreps link you shared is not a ranking, it simply lists teams by overall win percentages. There’s no way some of those teams would be ranked ahead of others. I think most of us on here have a ton of respect for your Rams & what they’re doing! They will be a force in the playoffs.

St. Mary's is a team nobody wants to see in their playoff bracket, that's respect!

Afterthought, still have chest pain thinking about that D1 playoff now dubbed "THE ST. MARY'S MIRACLE" @Rocklin last season.

However, if (and that’s a big “if” out of respect for Folsom) Del Oro pulls off the upset and defeats Folsom tonight, that’s going to shake up a lot of things. I can picture the following …

DO’s SOS “before” tonight is lower than St. Mary’s SOS. After tonight DO’s SOS may be greater than SM’s.

If DO wins tonight, they will be ranked above Folsom and possibly St. Mary’s. Folsom may or may not drop below St. Mary’s. But, what it may mean is that DO will win SFL and may be the #1 seed in SJS D1 (well, they still have Oak Ridge). Folsom will move to #2 or #3. The Rams will remain as #2 or drop to #3 seed, if not #1 seed. And, it means the Rams may have to go thru both Folsom and Del Oro to win section. Those will be some good games!

If DO loses tonight, DO plays in SJS D2 section for playoffs, Folsom secures the #1 seed and the Rams will for certain have the #2 seed. So, maybe I should be rooting for Folsom. LOL.

Seriously, not going to worry about current rankings or how the Del Oro at Folsom game plays out (only a 1 point pick in my pick’ems this week) or which teams the Rams will face in the playoffs. As I have shared on another thread, it’s all mute until the final whistle is blown at the end of the season. The Rams will just worry about the team in front of them. Tonight that team is Tracy. Everything else will play out displaying the truth about St. Mary’s, Folsom, Del Oro, and every high school team playing football this season. Stay tuned. Lots of football remains, indeed!

GO RAMS!!! 😎

Tracy offense is pretty good, faster than Lodi and De La Salle. Only problem is St Mary’s offense is better (can and has scored in less than a minute each time). Like I said, it’s catch me if you can. No worries here at Sanguinetti Field. Rams receive KO to start the 2nd half.

The muffed KO by Rams special teams gave Tracy the ball on the Rams 5 yard line. Else it would be a much more comfortable lead going into the locker room. Confident the Rams D will make adjustments for the second half. Like I said, no worries here.

Not really. As I have shared, we do our talking on the field and we are ready for all challenges. All I am doing is sharing this notion of lack of respect, some seem to have. Ram nation simply finds this entertaining. The Rams don’t mind being the underdogs. It becomes even more entertaining when we the Rams are victorious against such odds.

Heck, up only by 1 point vs Tracy going into the locker room, our chain gang could not help but hear a Tracy fan yelling at the top of his lungs, “Overrated! Overrated! Overrated!” Let’s just say he was very quiet during the 2nd half. 😂🤣😂😎

my favorite post of yours in a while @bulldogmgc

First, you refer to “Ram Nation” finding all this ”lack of respect“ “entertaining”. What lack of respect? A statewide football poll that maybe a half dozen people bother paying attention to?

The real entertainment is the frequency with which you use 1st person statements. ‘We“ we” “we” It’s like you are actually on the team.

I love the passion my friend - and I wish YOU and Ram Nation luck in the playoffs.

Yes, you do care. A lot.

And your team sturggled with Tracy. :)

Sounds like someone is struggling to get his words out. You must have watched the 2nd half and got scared, again! Yep, you’re still SCARED!!!

But, go ahead and disrespect and disregard the Rams from Stockton. We all know what happened the last time you did this (as G61). So, yes, be scared … be VERY SCARED!!! 😂

Scared of what? A 1st half struggle against inferior Tracy? :)

There’s absolutely nothing wrong or false re: the use of “we”.

From the professional level on down, the teams/leagues exist because they are funded by the people that pay to attend games, watch games on tv/stream, and buy team merchandise.

Furthermore, specific to a public or private school, even more funding has occurred via taxes or tuition.

W/O all of the above the leagues nor the teams exist.

So when someone chooses a favorite team and helps fund that team over years and years — they really are part of the “we” — even if they never were a player or coach.

People can roll their eyes and mock the above if they choose. But nobody can prove it false.

Um…did I say there was anything “wrong” or ”false”?? And way to cherry-pick one sentence in my post and try to make it something it most certainly was not. You conveniently left out my follow up sentence, which makes It pretty obvious that my post was not mocking anyone.

“I love the passion my friend - and I wish YOU and Ram Nation luck in the playoffs.”

Hell, bulldogmc even ‘liked’ my post.

(And to be clear, I was NOT ‘rolling my eyes’ at bulldogmc, but I am most definitely rolling my eyes at your post.)
