NorCal finals…. Modesto Christian @ Campo!

Great game tonight, and nice talking to you afterward Kiddman. I as waiting for some more free basketball if that last shot had gone in. Campo just couldn’t make their open 3 pointers in the first half. MC has a lot of talent and earned that win and state final ticket. Campo has nothing to hang their heads over. They’ve had a magical season, and almost pulled it off again tonight. See you at Golden 1!

For whatever reason Refs are very sensitive right now. Noticed it a lot during the playoffs watching my Hall.

I understand being a referee is a low paying job, and it isn’t easy. But part of the job is being able to properly handle games. Giving technicals for asking if the foul is on me? Is ridiculous.

Also in case people haven’t noticed it’s 2022. People love their teams. Love their sports. Refs need to understand they are there to officiate the games, not alter or change them.

Yeah, Phillips stood over the Campo playerwho fell back while trying to draw a charging foul. This after a great rebound/follow up by Phillips on his missed free throw. It was the closing minutes of the game so understand his enthusiasm - a teaching moment. He's a terrific player, btw...

i am sure the asking wasnt the issue. but once told it was they probably said something. and a ref cant alter a game as much as the players can. make your free throws and dont leave your feet.

totally agree ...they have had a great run and let's see what they can do against a very good Centennial. The youth showed a bit for MC down the stretch with Campo... MC made some critical mistakes and had some bad possessions late, but they are scrappy and talented and have a good core that was able to pull it out. Good luck to MC!
 
MC has 3 legit d1 starters and the PG can play somewhere d2 for sure. They ooze with talent and are young. Really nice team they have. Centennial is an entirely different beast. Either way it will be a great learning experience
