Here's a question for prep football followers: If the state and its county health directors forbid fans to attend 2020 ballgames, will schools invest in technology allowing online viewing of those contests? Some schools already do; most do not.

I was thinking about this the other day. A lot of schools have this going on already, but the prodution also includes a few people working in close contact so who knows if that will be an option.

Also, game day prep already carries a lot of factors. Throw in COVID-19 and the operation gets tougher even without fans in place.

A personal favorite online viewing source is St. Ignatius' youtube TV account. Outstanding.

Great question. Some of the current online streaming plate forms that I have used in the past are a bit hit and miss. One game may have good video quality but poor sound while the next game was vice versa. A lot games were spot on tho! Some schools exclusively utilize students to run the streaming program with teacher oversight. This may change. To answer your question I'd say yes. With no fans to buy tickets, pay for parking, sponsorships, booth sales, or to eat at the snack bar, you have to generate income the best way you can. If they do not currently offer streaming services I think they will be moving forward. I also think you will see school/booster club sponsored tailgating events with large tv screens. Where you can charge an entrance fee or parking and buy food. You can also sell shirts and other school memaribila. Of course social distance guidelines will be enforced and these events will most likely not be permitted to take place on campus. You will need to locate a local business/sponsorship that will let you host the event. Whether they charge you an upfront fee, split services, donation/tax write off, barter, or arrange future sponsorship opportunities with the school. Time to get creative
