Now that the season is over, what jobs are open?

I"ve only seen Monte Vista and SJND was officially open..

I heard that the Los Altos coach was let go. Whomever gets the job will be inheriting a solid team for next year.

What will happen with the girls at SJND? With the issues they had this year, will they return or look to transfer?

they have talent coming back, but A) how many will stick around and B) would you really want to go to a program where they ran out a VERY successful coach? Not to mention how easy will it be to get kids in after this debacle....

SJND will be interesting

I remember Maya Fok as a player -- we had one or two epic battles against her with Acalanes and Corrie Mizusawa (who also is in SF).

So what happened at SI? Did Mike step down voluntarily?

No he did not.

Wow, that is quite a move for Riordan make in starting their program

It's not confirmed but just heard it the other day. If you go to Riodan's website, a lot of the girls sports is looking for coaches except girls basketball...so kinda made sense.

Mike is a good guy and coach. Hard to believe he would be edged out after all these years. Especially since his brother is the AD. :)
Couldn't agree more about Mike's character and coaching. The decision to let him go was made by the VP who oversees athletics not the AD.

Yeah I learned the hard way why not to take a position at a garbage school. Administration that doesn’t care about athletics. A first year AD. A team that lost 82.6% of its scoring from the last season. I had four upper classmen on varsity who hadn’t played basketball since middle school. And apparently I was the reason we went 4-21... What a trash experience.
