Well, lets just say the girls game was a lot better than the boys. Speaking of which, there are some talented young ladies for the lady trojans and bulldogs. Folsom ended up winning by about 6 points but it was a heck of a game. I believe there were 4 D1 signees on the court.
Boys Game

Now to the boys game. Folsom vs OR. Great crowd on hand. Folsom absolutely won this game in the first 4 minutes. OR was not ready to play and Folsom basically showed them the SFL title runs thru bulldog nation. Folsom got up early and played at a pace that OR couldn't handle. It was steals and layups all day by Jayce Mccain and Martin Johnson and It was 9-1 before OR took a TO and it got pretty ugly quick. The small PG for folsom is a tough player. Leave him open and he will hurt you. I want to say it was 20-3 at one point in the first. OR regained a lot of composure in the 2nd and started hitting some 3's and they got back into the game. It helped though that Mason Forbes got into foul trouble and spent much of the night on the bench. Not one of his best games but when he's in the presence on the baseline and in the paint is impressive. However, Folsom soph big #42 played a great game. Kid is very light on his feet and will be a key role off the bench this year. OR cut lead to about 6 by half and we had a game going into 2nd. But in the 2nd half Folsom was able to do what they do best and play at a pace that OR wasn't comfortable playing. It got to 20 pt lead in 2nd before benches were emptied late in 4th. Mccain was the best player on the floor. I love how this kid plays. To me he is a D1 player.
OR has some good pieces and is improved but I think the hype of them and record coming into league was probably premature. #2 PG for OR had a nice game and #33 their lefty wing played well hitting some key 3's in the 2nd to get them back in. Also they have a good soph player who is tough midrange and around key.
