Give Kelly Graves and his Oregon staff credit. Without big-time guards, the Ducks have re-invented themselves this season. They no longer play mainly man-to-man and look to pressure, run and shoot treys. They are the opposite of most of the elite teams in the NCAA tournament. They now play a very tough half-court zone and look to go inside to their two big, talented posts on offense. They are deliberate and focus on using the shot clock to get good shots and limiting turnovers. Most of their key players from the Ionescu era are gone. So Kelly et al have done a 180 and here they are again in the Sweet 16. Outstanding coaching and execution by the players.

And they lost their best player -- TeHina Paopao -- to injury plus another rotation guard (Jaz Shelley).

They did zone a lot with the Sabrina team, though.

Headed to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 this weekend. Will make it in time to watch the Louisville vs Oregon game. Should be a good one! Oregon’s bigs vs Louisville’s 4 guards.

I think it's a stress fracture ... but I don't know for sure.

10-8 after one quarter. Prince with two fouls early. Crowd is maybe 1000.

29-14 at the half, Oregon frustrated by Louisville’s defense. Louisville scoring at the elbow all night.

43-33 after 3. Oregon playing better and the bigs were starting to dominate. San ally went down at the end.

final 60-42!
