PAL TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINALS

Half Moon Bay leads Aragon 35-32 at the half.

Westmoor and Sequoia also locked up in a close one, currently 41-40 in favor of Sequoia.

Both HMB and Sequoia run away with their games; HMB winning theirs 84-53, and Sequoia winning 85-61.

Menlo-Atherton is currently clobbering El Camino 44-11

HMB wins it behind a huge night by Ethan Menzie who had 32 points and 14 Rebs tonight. HMB now plays Sequoia tomorrow night 7:45 pm @ Hillsdale. That will be a good one!

The PAL semifinals are boys/girls/boys/girls so the Jefferson vs Menlo-Atherton game is at 4:30 today at Hillsdale in San Mateo.

If Rodney Lawrence has the kind of game he had last night vs. Woodside, it could be very interesting. Woodside couldn't guard him and he scored at will.

I watched Jefferson 5 weeks ago against Half Moon Bay and the improvement is clearly noticeable.

Jefferson 50 MA 55 ...... MA did not win that game, JEFF LOST IT

HMB 15 Sequoia 29 @ the half sequoia defense giving HMB some trouble to put it lightly

Welp, Sequoia sure did handle HMB in their matchup (55-33) lol. Sequoia and Menlo-Atherton face off in a rubber match for the championship tomorrow.

Would also like to say that Jefferson's fight and grit against MA was a pleasant surprise, they'll be a threat in CCS D3 for sure.

Sequoia and MA tomorrow for the PAL Tournament title. Does the winner go Open and loser stay in D1? Or will they both go Open and put Palo Alto as the odd man out to stay in D1?

Would seem if Sequioa beats MA that would be the case, since MA beat Palo Alto head to head a few weeks ago. If MA beats Sequioa, will be interesting to see what happens though.

Looks like Serra should be the last team in Open, over HMB as well. With HMB getting handled pretty easily tonight in only the semifinals.

The loss tonight by HMB could be the best thing that happened to them all year. This team Wouldn't survive in the open division. Now they just need to regroup, use this as a wake up call and step into CCS D4 where they should be the top seed ( if Palma goes open ) and make that run at a CCS CHAMPIONSHIP!! rings last forever .......

Jefferson played a hell of a game. Great zone defense. Questionable calls against their point guard and an inability to feed the big man in the second half killed them.

They can make a serious run in D3. SHC is the class of D3, but Jefferson could beat anyone else. I'd like to see them take on Riordan.
