Peter Langi reopens recruitment after signing with Washington

Peter Langi never improved as a player despite his size and expectations.

Playing at a school like Riordan that doesn't develop offensive lineman will do that.

John Mills (OL) out of SI had the highest paying NIL deal out of the Bay Area this year. Next year it will be Manoah Faupusa (OL/DL). After him will be the head coach's own son Isaia Vandermade (DL/OL).

There's a trend happening at SI. Anyone with a son playing OL or DL in football needs to clue in.

Dude, take off your cherry-colored glasses for a second! Peter Langi still has multiple offers to choose from. Losipini Tupou and Michael Langi, both started as freshman at Riordan, also have D1 offers. Tommy Tofi will probably be the best WCAL OL next season, and the JV team has plenty of frosh/soph OL ready to step in.

Stay classy, SI.

John Mills was Regalia’s kid. So was Hummel and Hogan. Year 3 for Vandermade. Who’s coming up from the JVs/frosh? Other than his son, what other players in his class will be factors?

You got Igor no doubt, but how many kids is SI stretching the rules. SI has always been known to be the Stanford of athletics at least in the city

I agree. The kids are being heavily recruited. But I will say this. It has to suck to commit somewhere then well seasoned juniors and seniors come in thru the portal and now you ride pine

It's a new world. Preps are getting NIL money. Recruiting is rampant. The CIF seems helpless. Cash is king. Prime talent holds all the cards. SI had a QB who just concluded his high school career in Nevada after enrolling at Serra, transferring to Leland, heading north to SI and then winding up in Reno. It's "Where's Waldo" on steroids.

His high school career has not concluded. This was his junior year leading Bishop Manogue to a state title. Where he plays next year is anyone's guess. Enrolled at Serra. Attended summer workouts but never attended a class. No transcripts to transfer. Attended Leland freshman year starting on varsity then backup QB soph year at SI. If he had stayed at Serra he would have sit behind Smith for 2 years but would have been their missing link at QB last year and next.
