Piedmont outplayed CN from the opening tip on and it never felt like CN had a shot. GREAT intensity by Piedmont on both sides of the ball.

From what I've seen Piedmont is the best team in the NCS. Ridiculous that they are going to boat race everyone in D4 and not get a shot to win the NCS Open.

What’s the point of the open if everyone in NCS is not eligible? What was the logic on that? Seems dumb. They’d beat everyone in NCS.

I may be mistaken but I think the NCS had to promise no small schools in D4 (or lower) would ever be put into the NCS OPEN in order to get the votes of all the smalls schools to pass the OPEN resolution in the 1st place.

That’s to bad for Piedmont. Would be heavy favorite to win Open. They’ll get to go Open for State and lose by 30 to Mitty though

I stand corrected. This is great for the girls basketball scene. They’ll rematch in the NorCal Open with a healthy Cheli most likely. I had Piedmont in my top 5 in NorCal pre season and still might have been to low.
