With the SJS Section, NS Section, OS Section and SFS Section playoffs complete, we already know some of the teams who will be competing in the NorCal Regional Baseball Playoffs. Of course we don't know how the teams will be seeded until all team bids are presented, but we can get a pretty good idea of approximate divisional placements.

SJS 10 Teams (2 teams from D1-D3 and 1 team from D4-D7)
Franklin
St. Mary's
Del Oro
Lodi
Yuba City
Central Catholic
Roseville
Lincoln
Woodland Christian
Vacaville Christian

NS 6 Teams (I do not see any definitive NS Section guide to how teams from the section will be selected for regional games. There are six divisions in NS Section playoffs and they have 6 slots for the regionals so I am assuming all divisional champions will get regional bids.)
Chico
West Valley
Durham
Etna
Los Molinos
Hayfork

OS Section 1 team
Oakland Tech

SFS Section 1 team
Lincoln

CCS Section 9 teams (4 teams are selected from D1 and the remaining champions of D2-D6)
After the first round of CCS playoffs, we now know the 4 teams from D1 to have a regional bid.
Serra
Valley Christian
Los Gatos
St. Francis

CS Section 8 Teams, 4 NorCal and 4 SoCal (There are 6 divisions in the CS Section playoffs. That means that two division will present 2 teams for regional playoffs. In any case, those two divisions are not identified (help me if I am wrong) and of the 8 teams selected, it is not clear which 4 will be slated for NorCal playoffs.)
An educated guess, based on 2024 historical placement, is that D1 and D2 will get 2 bids each. If that is true, we know 4 teams since the CS section has finished their semifinal round. But I don't know which of these teams, if any, will be slated for NorCal Regional Playoffs.
St. Joseph
Centennial (Bakersfield)
Ridgeview
Kingsburg

NCS Section 9 teams (3 teams from D1, 2 teams from D2, 1 team each from D3-D6)
The NCS playoffs are in the semifinal round, so no team has been identified yet for regional playoffs.

Thanks for posting this. Good breakdown!

Two more teams are added, this time from the NCS Section, to the NorCal Playoffs tonight as DLS beats Foothill 10-1 and College Park beats Casa Grande 10-0. With the addition of DLS and College Park to the playoffs, there may be enough teams at the top level to fill out NorCal Regionals Division 1.

De La Salle
Franklin (Elk Grove)
St. Mary's
Valley Christian
Serra
College Park
Del Oro
Los Gatos/St. Francis/Lodi/Yuba City (or some other team(s) who haven't yet locked a bid for NorCal Regionals.)
(It is unlikely that a top CS Section team will be selected to enter the NorCal Regionals due to location)

I just read that Centennial (Bakersfield) is opting out of regional playoffs due to the lack of players after graduation. Maybe one of the two runner up teams, Buchanan or Clovis North, will be selected instead. Either one would likely be chosen for NorCal Regionals.

Usually that is the case, they go to the semifinalists…..

This has happens in So Cal D1 the last few years…. The main issue they face is the top players at the top schools are all starting summer ball so they players are leaving to go with their Travel and Showcase teams…. The one who graduate are going to play for collegiate summer teams…. Or if they are not playing ball anymore they leave for graduation trips….

Without starting the season earlier it’s really tough to put together this regional/state type of championship for Baseball….

Good point - hope the powers that be find a solution.
